Revisited this movie 25 years latter and the message it stills amaze me. How difficult is to be different in a standardized world? A classic movie to rewatch!
The time line was just so amazing. What an incredible episode! So well made...
And the music is great too.
I never cried so much watching a TV show. I loved William so much, I was so sad to see him go.
More than 35 years after watching it I still remember the good laughs I had with this movie. I remember specially the silly poisoned apple and her crazy outfits.
Here Nicolas Cage shows how great he is has an actor. We can feel and see the despair in his eyes. A very, very sad movie brilliantly performed. Good soundtrack that deepens the depression feeling.
I liked how each hero personality and faults are emphasised. So much more than a heroes series!
The dance moment reflects that and sumarizes the 1st episode.
Great short about courage in our lives.
It caught my attention. I like when characters are not just painted black and white. Let's see where it goes.
A bright, inteligent and funny masterpiece.
I went to see this movie by mistake in 1990. And how glad I am I entered the wrong place. The french language and poetry and the acting were magic. Went out of the cinema with a smile on my face, and poetry in my head.
I makes us think about our own future and the way we treat older people. It is a movie about being alone when we are older, and the importance of friendship. The way each one cope with aging. The fear of loosing capacities we take for granted. Very good!
I was freaking out every time he wasn't closing a door. And the doors were so many! Grrrrrr! Good job!
I loved the acting of the mother of Prairie, really shows the anguish she can feel through her daughter. Such an empathy made me cry.
From a novel of one of the best writer ever - José Saramago.
Good movie, even if not so great as the novel, but it can be an impossible task.
Perfect beauty! The music, the scenario, the clothes, the story.... go and watch it!
I loved the poetic images and sounds despicting the daily life of the people living in Senegal, Dakar, the omnipresence of the sea, the magnificence of the buildings in the dust and incomplete constructions. Slsothat there was not needed almost dialog to makes us infere the story.
I loved this tender movie. It explains why some youngsters get in to trouble, and how they can be misunderstood. This is a boy with an undiagnosed Aspergers authistic disorder, that makes decisions that make sense in his own way to see the world. Never in the movie his disorder is named. Just see the movie.
It was heartwarming to see the relation between the old son and the even older mother toghether on a trip to revisit the past in their even older completely original ugly car. Made me smile, cry and miss my older family.
Remembering how trying to fit children in a mold is just wrong.
