If Sam had just gone into Gabe/Dodge's body whilst Chamberlain and Gabe were talking, this whole mess would've been over quickly. Yet another example of the writers being infuriating. I suppose they wouldn't have a plot to work with but it was so irritating the way it spun out.
This was manipulating my emotions more than even Pixar can which is really saying something.
So embarassed to actually like this. Bad but good if you look past the terrible plot. Stan China Anne McClain!
A little cringy at times but still overall a cute disney movie for what it's worth, and definitely better than a lot of their other stuff.

I finally finished it yay! I went into this with absolutely no background knowledge of who Catherine the Great was so was a bit disappointed to find out it was only occasionally factually correct. It could've been shortened down a little as well.
With that being said, it was engaging and interesting almost all the way through, the writing was good and I would recommend.
Honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. Hollywood does have a tendency to butcher their remakes of european films but this was actually ok. And Chloe Grace Moretz has proven that she'll go places for sure.
Why do they keep killing off all the best characters??

This just wasn't as good as I expected it to be unfortunately. Was originally rooting for this one as I like miniseries but the incessant, jolting timejumps (which weren't always needed) and the not that great dialogue made this a bit hellish. There were some good moments but I never felt like I wanted to move to the next episode. Anyway actors were ok and costumes and set design were nice.
I pretty much blitzed my way through all 4 series and can I just say that that ending felt more than a little rushed :face_with_monocle:
