I forgot how much some of their dialogue sounds like internet slang and is about âwokeâ culture:sob:
That's another stellar episode of Doctor Who - maybe Russell T. Davies' best script for the show? It's a perfect bottle episode (dare I say the best bottle episode of television apart from Breaking Bad's Fly?) A great slice of Twilight Zone-esque brilliance at its finest. Lesley Sharp is terrific. This run from The Unicorn and the Wasp to Journey's End is pretty much perfection.
great episode mystery-wise but a lot of unanswered questions...
Me: "There's no way they can even come close to being as good as the last episode."
Also me: "OH MY GOD IT WAS EVEN BETTER"
An amazing episode, with stories and threads that will likely make much more sense later on. Suspense, mystery, and emotion, all masterfully woven together.
Jinkx Monsoon is ELECTRIC on this episode I'm so grateful and proud of her :sob::sob::sob:
It had the two things I hate the most: bad writing and crying children.
What the fuck is this?
This sucked. The rest of the season better be better.... I love Ncuti. And have been super excited even after the dismal Ruby Road troll thing. But this was both disgusting and too childish. Maybe Disney involvement is ruining the messaging that Whovians are accustomed to. This came off as made for children rather than the fan base. I hope it gets better.
I love how Lorraine is handling this. Donât coddle people making hurtful, stupid decisions. Heâs been an asshat about Marianne in public this whole time. I know teenagers are naive can
shitty, but still sad to see neither her nor him canât step up
everytime connellâs mom speaks, i feel can feel heaven inside me
So glad they knew Jana was amazing and let her out from behind the desk. This bunch could just be their own spinoff.
It was different from typical Marvel projects and I think that's refreshing
Bear confronts his father issues and opens himself up to grow. This show routinely says profound things in the most simple way, as Bearâs conversation with the other roofers shows. Also, the Spirit shows up in the Port-A-Potty, which is hysterically funny.
Oh damn that's a rough one for Bella but at least she recognises it's of her own making. She's the character I vibe with the least but I admire her drive. Hope it works out next year wherever she ends up.
The Leighton stuff seems a bit like they suddenly remembered her stuff with the women's group last year and quickly changed gears to jam it in.
And as for Kimberly and Whitney.... Damn Kimberly really should have spoken to her about Canaan before making any moves. It's the respectful thing to do for your friend.
This was definitely meant to be the same sort of thing as Euphoria. Totally different story but the same vibe. Lots of half naked girls. Edgy, They even dropped an F bomb early on. Same weird, dizzy focus and cuts.
What the hell did they have the lights on for if they didn't want to be caught.
Are we sure the Sontarans are supposed to be a militaristic race and not a keystone coppers race? What exactly are we supposed to feel when we see them on the screen because they are humorous and not at all a risk, not even to the companions. They have the worst possible aim and just stand there waiting to be shot. It's weird.
I really enjoyed this one, even though extremely confusing and insane. I do hope though that they stop introducing new characters next episode and focus on explaining what the hell is going on.
Incomprehensible from start to finish. While it's nice to learn some of Vinder's backstory, it isn't written into the story very well, as we're introduced to another character with their own plotline (halfway through the story!). The plot (whatever it is at this point) takes a pause for us to learn a lot of other backstory in the most confusing way possible, on top of adding ANOTHER new mysterious character that the Doctor has a vision of. That's gotten really old really quick.
I don't think we've ever gone from a banger episode right into such a messy episode. This episode left me seriously confused. We are halfway through this season and there's basically no plot progression to speak of. I feel so lost right now.
Solid follow up episode, I did enjoy the Sontaran in the Crimean War plotline, but the highlight for me was the temple, itâs very intriguing. I also have to say Yaz is fantastic this season. I love Azure and Swarm as villains. Dan was so great this episode, heâs a natural and he just got here. That cliffhanger was so abrupt though, lmao
screaming crying theyre so perfect to me
I love all of them, but Nick owns my heart:heart: He feels and sees so much⊠This guy would literally jump into a fire to protect the people he cares about.
This friend group is so supportive, I could cry. Everyone deserves to have something like that
Donna Noble has left the library. Donna Noble has been saved.
Rivals Blink in terms of scare factor, this two parter's terrifying. "Hey, who turned out the lights?" The River Song mystery being introduced so early comes as a surprise, but Alex Kingston has an instant chemistry with David Tennant from the word go - it's completely believable. Hits all the right beats, makes you care about even the side characters who you've met for seconds - I always seem to underrate these two when making lists, but they're just so good! Possibly one of Tennant's better performances as The Doctor in this pair of episodes, too.
How can something so utterly nonsensical be so fucking epic and great?
One of the best finale episodes. Martha saved the world and yet she's crimnally underrated. I also love how she was the only companion of them all to chose to walk away from The Doctor.
Donna: :point_right:It's me!:point_left:
The Doctor: Yeah, I can see that. :face_with_monocle:
ICONIC
That episode where the Doctor saves his future self and his companion is kidnapped by his future companion.
