This is literally so bad for so many reasons (none of which being "woke"). Walton Goggins is the only thing good about this entire series, and even his character has severe issues - especially when he is supposed to be a GHOUL, and he still looks kind of too "pretty" for that and being in the wasteland for over 200 years!! The make-up/FX for this show is often times so awful, it makes it extremely difficult. Especially when there are so many amazing and talented artists out there (they clearly wanted to cut costs). - and just about everything else is so disappointing as to make me never try another video game adaptation for the rest of my life.
They spent pretty much all of the show focused on the stories of the people, their histories, and oh, worst of freaking ALL, ROMANCING TWO OF THE MAIN ONES, AND MAKING THEM KISSY KISSY GOOGOO EYES FOR IDK HOW LONG, but it's a gd waste of everyone's time and annoying as hell. Why is it they think the only way women will ever watch things like this is if we focus on relationships and romance? It's not necessary (and offensive).
Barely any of the most interesting things in the game even show up, or if they do, it's for such a short moment, you would think this show was about something else.
The awesome and interesting towns, the buildings, the cults, some of the crazy DLC stories (which potentially would have been incredibly good plot line for this). The hacking, the lockpicking, the mutants, and the many many other interesting creatures. Or idk... How about any of the other really cool shit that could have been incorporated? Nah! We waste so much time on pointless stuff.
I think they also failed on how they didn't exactly make things look as gritty as they should have. Not half as much. Idk.
The first and 2nd Silent Hill movies will still be the only video game adaptations I've ever found any good, but maybe that's just me.
I'll keep watching for Goggins most likely. He is a master class of character acting - and rad
The most boring, uncreative and trite excuse for "horror" I've ever seen. All this show does is write in things that are supposed to be "shocking" and "disturbing", and simply rests on this lazy formula of doing things that might potentially upset a person.
Imo, that's not good writing. It's just emotionally manipulative trash - there was so much good horror back in the 80's. Idk why this is the kind of stuff we get now
Wanted badly to like it, but it's poorly made in every way, the CGI is extremely off-putting, they start off with the tired af cliché of hurting/killing a cat, because they simply couldn't come up with anything better, or more interesting. frankly a good horror flick/series doesn't have to rely on this cheap trope. Every garbage one I've ever seen though, they do this. This is not even just because of my love of animals and it triggering me - this is a matter of it becoming an extremely boring, easy way to attempt upsetting the audience without actually killing a character or setting up a scene like that. It's worse than jumpscares - and lazy directors/writers do this.
I didn't really stick around much longer. The "angsty teenage boy with dad who hates him for being gay" thing is beyond played out at this point. Get a new story, folks. Cliché after cliché - the only good thing about this is Brad Dourif
What... Exactly happened with this series? The first one was so good. Rated it an 8. I would barely give s2 a 5. It's really kind of sexist in the way the characters are written, and beside that, there are so many other issues with the plausibility of many things and scenes.
I miss the claustrophobic feel it had, they did such an excellent job with that originally. Oh well. Won't be continuing - there are better things to watch
This season is so bad it isn't even worth watching. I mean this show has lost everything that made it what it was.
Add to that the "stage" the auditions were at. An extremely overly sunny room that blinds you because the sun literally shines through the windows at the camera.
They dont even show most of the auditions. Nothing longer than 10 seconds. Clearly they are showing favoritism early on, and focusing way too heavily on the "stories" of people. This show is just trash. It's not a dancing competition anymore and it's so sanitized

Agree, it's like Off The Air, without the music and weird transitions.
The first 3 seasons were great. 4 not so much. It just.... Lost it's way
It's only one of the greatest shows ever made in the history of shows. Brendan Small is a mad genius.
This is an actual masterpiece. Anyone missing this has no idea what they are doing to themselves
Offdensen is the greatest character in anything... Ever. The ultimate badass. I need him in my life
Was good. Hasn't been for a few seasons - I've seen every single one up to season 15. 15 was trash, boring and not worth watching at all. Stopped mid-way after several times dealing with episodes that just aggravated me with how boring, annoying, full of fake drama constantly, and no actual interesting challenges. Not once. I dont enjoy having my time wasted (not like that - i like being entertained, that's not a waste. I like seeing talent and appreciating people who are clearly good at their craft... Which i saw little of.) The pettiness was mostly just grating of all though... I couldn't anymore.
Maybe if the drag that season had been idk, interesting, fun, unique... Had any personality? But they all looked exactly the same.
At least previous seasons had several people with extremely eclectic tastes, it's what made me fall in love originally. I enjoy that. Especially knowing a lot of them create their drag.
11 & 13 were the best
The runways in other countries are way more interesting at this point as well! Especially Canada (practically every season has been ridiculously fun, and full of creative, themed runways. )... I even loved Holland (i know others dont). UK is fun, too. The American one does these really boring runways and it feels a little like Ru just might be out of touch
Oh... And if they spend 2 entire minutes on another person walking all the way from a barn... To another building... Slowly... With nothing in between... Im going to stab my eyes out with a screw driver. Life is too short to watch people walking just because someone thought it was super nifty to film that way and would add drama or seem "suspenseful" and artistic..... (it didn't. When it does, call me back.).
It feels more and more as if they just couldn't figure out what to do and are trying so hard to fill their time, but literally nothing happens... Every single episode. You think something interesting might finally happen... Or have even happened and its either the "dream" trope, or some scene that builds up with absolutely no climax and fizzles completely out.
Then there are the extremely cheesey lines they keep saying, trying to be mysterious and cool... Except everyone comes off as being a tool, including the writers... And even JON HAMM.... How the hell did they manage to make him boring and lame as a character. Everyone is so painfully 1-dimensional it's not even funny.
Literally wth happened to this season? The others are so good. This is a glorified car commercial.
This is one of the greatest sketch series ever known to man. Also suggest anything else Aunty Donna
Almost everything this season has been a complete snoozefest, and it has some weird elements again that dont fit in the show. Idk. Leigh is good. Hamm is good at everything he does, but the character is still boring. I usually like the subject, but idk... It's just been so in your face and weird with it
It would seem this show has become one giant Kia car commercial. It's annoying af, and though this was a favorite show of mine, I'm done. This season was sadly boring anyway, even with Hamm and Foley! :(
One of the very few Netflix originals I have ever given the time of day or cared about. It's actually pretty good, though it still has a lot of Netflix production stink. Other than that, I enjoyed it and wish it wasn't over after just 4 seasons
Such an original, and great animated series. The music is one of the best parts. Off-beat, unique, bursting with interesting things you might not even catch on to - that's the amount of work that goes into it.
If you like indie animations, or animated projects at all, chances are you'll enjoy this!
I used to semi-enjoy this, especially since I love Nikki.... But it's become a parody of itself, and not the good kind of parody. It became exactly like every other dating show ever, and even worse when it changed networks. Did they really think this would work somewhere other than HBO? yuck
Hope it gets canceled, but doubt it will, there are already versions of this in several other countries. That is sad... And makes no sense without Nikki anyway
Just... Disappointed, again. Wtf is going on?
Throb"s idea was clearly the only one that was actually polished, looked alien/space, and it was hot. So what if a silly prop fails?
I dont think adding a bunch of tits to your body is that original - but at least their floor-show was funny and weird... Though everyone's was off, and it just felt awkward af, and like it was the wrong atmosphere.
This would have been the perfect episode to go on location and do something like this... I am beginning to think that's never going to happen.
I want Fantasia to go already... Their drag is valid, but it's just... Not right for this. I'm very bored. We've gotten several variations of the same look, and make-up ideas... And it seems like there is no cool art and costume work, or monster/filth/horror make-up ability....
The episode was just disappointing. Again. :( i did learn about the contraction simulation thing, though. I didn't realize a TENS unit could do that. I didn't think they could put out enough electric current for that...
Hope the next episode is better
This is brilliant. Insane. Awesome. So bananas with it's creativity, and style. The musical numbers are some of my favorite from anything - ever. This is clearly a masterpiece that is underappreciated. Also, it would be nice if they put the real first season as season 1 - and then kept this season as #2. But idk
This is way worse than when Murphy Brown came back. Night Court, too. We need to leave these gems in the past where they belong ( along with some of the relics - like Grammer ) what's next? Golden Girls without the girls? I wouldn't be surprised if they were working on Cheers. Let's ruin 3rd Rock From The Sun! Let's bring back the Bob Newhart show... Idk how exactly, considering his age, but hey, let's try anyway.
Here is one that I can't imagine them ever doing with out Phil Hartman, but wouldn't put past them; Newsradio.
Who wants to see any of this... It's a sad cash grab and it's a pathetic attempt. Just watch the originals again. They'll bring you more joy, less disappointment
One of my favorite shows, with some of my favorite funny people. Ken Marino is always awesome. I love watching him in things - he has such great delivery & he directed it . So many funny women, i can't list them all in the first season. The second season has a lot of funny men, too. Love seeing Adam Scott in anything.
The way it parodies dating shows so completely is brilliant. It's like Childrens Hospital - with it's medical show parody. These, and Newsreaders go to together as wonderful campanions, parodies of these ridiculous things, with many of the same actors. If you like this, I highly recommend either of those
I would say though that the cheap "man in a dress/woman with a dick" joke in the first season is disappointing. Regardless, I won't throw the show away just because of that - but it dropped from a 9 to a 7
Well that was severely disappointing. I just dont really understand what's happening anymore tbh... But by all means, let's just keep giving a pass to those who aren't doing much of anything, while others who were, have to leave. This is getting old, quick. Hope they actually do something interesting for the next episode... The garbage pail kids was cool, but they still haven't even had anything on a different location or changed the stage up... It's really boring
overrated & formulaic af. especially this one. Watching Vincent's character do the exact same thing over and over again, and having it seem as if he's some incredible detective with a brilliant mind, it's honestly annoying. He's not Sherlock, and the writing in the show is so bad, that nothing he does makes him even a fraction of that, yet this is how they play it, and why people like this, for some reason. They buy into it, but I guess people want to buy this kind of stuff. it's why they loved House, which had the exact same problem, with obnoxious soap opera romance drama thrown in, & the only other difference being the character was originally a good one, who says some funny & true things times throughout the series. Plus Hugh Laurie is just talented, & fun to watch....
This? i just can't say ther redeeming value to it, add to that the obsession Dick Wolf has with law enforcement and using these shows to push a narrative, using copaganda. It's disturbing. I dont have an issue with cop shows in general, I've enjoyed many of them, but if you make a show with characters that are always infallible heroes, and nothing else (like idk, human beings).... it's cringey. NYPD Blue was really good, for example.
8u
i do like Kathryn Erbe, mostly because she was good in OZ (she was a death row inmate.), and it's a weird role flip, like with Meloni and his characters on OZ and SVU. I
idk. wish i hadn't wasted so much of my time, and therefore life, on watching these Law and Order shows. At least SVU had Meloni for a long time, and even Munch.... was worth watching just to see them. Same can't be said for this...
Loved this. Most of it was so good & I was laughing my ass off. Enjoyed the guests. The only lame one was the puppet one (and i actually really love puppets.....) I just felt like, why have puppets if you aren't doing puppetry. It's bizarre. That would have actually been so cool. Enjoyed the cooking show the most, it was my favorite bit, and the camp commercial had me cracking up. Loved the sketch with Mathew Lillard
Love this one. I really prefer it with the removed scenes. I hate when that happens - usually to appeal to either the MPAA or the studio, either way, it changes the entire movie. Most people never see the full thing or know this. I tried watching the second one.... Didn't enjoy it. It was not the same at all. It didn't have love. Not the same director - and it's basically a crappy romance flick that was toned down so much it's basically barely a horror movie anymore. This one is awesome. But that's just my opinion
Compared to the first? Trash. I saw all the deleted scenes from the first one added back in - completely different movie, and it's actually horror. This? It's a terrible romance flick with some badly done kills. There were some really good ones in the first movie, and the effects were fun. This, was so boring. Also short. It was like no love was put into this film at all. Really disappointing
Never should have been canceled. Wtf.... This was so good, but Netflix cancels every good show... For no real reason. They are worse than networks sometimes. Ben Platt is a star,
Excuse me, wtf are all these horrible reviews? This movie is amazing. First of all, it's an 80's movie. Second, clearly the style isn't your thing. That's ok, but this is not garbage. It's funny, fun, and the cast is fantastic. Sounds like people dont like fun :joy:
This is so much better than US drag race. The runways are better, the production is better, and the challenges are even somehow not as boring. US has gone stagnant. I can't even watch it anymore, and Michelle is annoying. Not a huge RU fan anymore either - just here for the drag, and you get it. Not that Brooklyn is the best host or anything - she's not, but at least her outfits get more interesting.
Yawn. The fact people are hailing this as some incredible "courtroom/lawyer" drama is silly af. Then again, the stuff people think is amazing is hilarious.
This show is posing very very hard. Trying extremely hard to be cool guys doing cool stuff. It's got extremely poor writing, characters so flat i would barely even call them one dimensional... repetitive & formulaic episodes that are a pain to get through after a while.
And the pretty & straight people relationship drama gets really really really old & boring. Just like everything else.
I could hardly think of anything good. The premise, the main idea was a good one, but that's simply not enough.
This show having a score of over 8 is a joke - especially considering the underrated and well made shows out there that dont. All because people usually are too dumb for the plots - but that's good for this show i guess. This is the perfect lawyer drama for people who are obsessed with Marvel movies & Fast & the Furious. :joy:
Watch The Practice or Boston Legal - yes there is annoying drama in those, but they are much better. The Practice especially.
