my God they really drag story lines out and take them round in circles. King Zog's madness is just exhausting. So is Odval's quest to overthrow him. Season 2 feels like watching a telenovela.
In my heart of hearts when I saw Freckles take the boys to Steamland, I really hoped that we weren't about to revisit the whole "kidnapped by the freakshow" thing again . Didn't we just go through this with Elfo? Also I can't be the only one getting sick of Dagmar reappearing at the end of every Part / Season . This show gets exhausting with how much they like to milk a story line and drag it out... and now recycling story lines that were tired to begin with is too much, sigh.
I watched the more recent remake when it first came out and it was tolerable.I wanted to check this out thinking that the original would have had to be at least as, if not more entertaining. 10 minutes in and I cannot bear to listen to this man cackle one more time. I get that the drunken laughing is supposed to be annoying but it's too much. It gave the movie more of an over the top stage performance of what someone who has never been drunk would assume an obnoxious drunk person behaves like. I don't think I can make it to the end of this trainwreck.
I don't get the hype. I honestly haven't been so bored by a horror in a long time.
Poor bad end… three seasons without sense.
I hope they finished the show.
This year started with $hitty movie
I don't know what it is about this season and the new couples, but I just can't seem to get into this season. Three episodes in and it's such a drag.
I'm pretty weird and considering I'm Gen Z, this show should be perfectly my kind of humour but it just doesn't work. I'M LITERALLY THE DUDE WHO LAUGHS AT BIG CHINGUS and maybe that says more about me than the show but it needs a bit more than just random weirdness because that just gets boring. I need some kind of meat to latch onto a story, which just isn't present here. Maybe the issue is that it isn't weird enough it's just stupid and contrived. It looks like that the writers want you to believe that they're geniuses because of the bs they have carved up but it's just not enough. Idk how but try being weirder next time, you may get my approval.
nothing special about this.weak story line
One of the worst "horror" movies I have ever suffered through.
I wish i could understand the hype and praise around this movie but i felt myself just wanting it to end. I wasn't impressed by the gore, camerawork or editing like others have. The plot sure wasn't nothing to rave about and differentiate itself from just about any other slasher film.
What a load of utter garbage, whoever made this is sick in the head.
started okay, but went downhill and got bad pretty quickly
Reminiscent of WeTV's "Love After Lockup", except this is less dramatic and a little bit slower. It feels as though they could and should edit out and cut down a lot of the content. The episodes (all longer than 40 mins) seem dragged out for no reason and the scenes / conversations are pretty repetitive.
Why should we be made to sit through an entire episode where we watch people watch the show? What is this?
What a waste of time. I stopped watching the show over a year ago because it stopped being funny. Not sure why I thought this would be any different. It is basically a boring 4 minute Disney+ ad.
it getting worse every episode 1st season was the best. i wonder what's next
It just takes so long to get to the point. And when it does get there, the scares are non-existent and it's just endless screaming and running around.
For me this was, is and (probably) will be the worst movie I've ever seen. I've seen the trailer and went into the cinema with the expectation for a good thematic horror movie.
I couldn't get more disappointed. There were two, maybe three, shocking moments and thats it. No tension, at least for me no feeling with the characters, just nothing.
I rarely utterly dislike a movie, but this one did it for me.
The more M. Night Shyamalan films I see, the more I am convinced that The Sixth Sense was just a fluke and that he's actually a hack. This was so boring. I actually skipped through a lot of it.
This is so unbearably boring to the point that it's unwatchable. Can't imagine why AMC would even pick it up. Couldn't make it past episode one.
What a horrible waste of time. This episode couldn't have been any worse.
I didn't hate this as much as everyone else seemed to. I do agree that it is often unnecessarily vulgar, as if when the writers couldn't come up with witty jokes, they just went for rude language and cheap gutter humor. However, after getting past the first few episodes, I started to get a few chuckles here and there from Coach Ben's audacious, over-entitled and insane behavior. He's just so absurd, it started to become humorous. If this hadn't been cancelled I would have definitely continued to watch it, even though I do think they needed a change in the writing. Don't watch if you're looking for smart dialogue or witty exchanges between characters. Watch if you want to pass the time with a hilariously stupid show that has a main character you just hate to love.
So boring, wasn't even in the least bit funny. The Simpsons has lost its edge.
Some of these spin offs are just so unnecessary and boring. I get that TLC is trying to ride the 90DF wave and milk it to the last drop but they don't have to keep releasing spin offs of spin offs. The actual / original show is enough.
loved this more than I thought I would. The plot may not have been the most believable but Tammy's journey pulled on my heartstrings while making me laugh. Absurd and vulgar, yes. But wholesome nonetheless.
This show is SUPER fun - great pace, energetic editing and creative directing with awesome heist stories. I don't understand the low ratings here!
Hardly any genuinely funny parts and the ending was completely predictable. Save your time.
To classify this as a comedy is pushing it - a 2 hour advert for Google is more like it. There is not a single redeeming moment within this film, devoid of any humour with a central message that Google is going to save the world and happily ever after is full time employment at Google. Really ?? Frankly, it is a surprise there wasn't a list of job adverts at the end for people to apply for. If the film was even remotely funny, it may have been passable entertainment, but every line was obvious and still fell flat, every cliche that could be trotted out was. The half star is an acknowledgment that a film of some description was made. Probably the worst film of last year and a strong candidate to join most people's worst films of all time. The one positive note is that at the end of this review, I have pretty much forgotten most of it.
I had no intention of seeing this, but my sister really wanted to see it, so I acquiesced. I've never seen any of the other Purge movies, though I have seen that Purge episode of Rick & Morty.
And I've gotta say, I thought this was pretty good. It conveyed a pretty important political message, but did so without being too heavy-handed and preachy. The characters were kinda dull but likeable enough, especially Y'lan Noel, who I hope we see a lot more of in the future.
