Well, they actually managed to make a decent The Flash movie, and without Grant Gustin too. Ezra Miller is back again as Barry Allen despite the controversies that surround them, but I hope you can forget or ignore that fact for about 2,5 hours (it's hard), because this movie is super fun. Now for the pluses and minuses:
2.5 hours is pretty long, but while watching it, I forgot that. The story unfolds with good pace and (almost) never a dull moment.
I love both Affleck and Keaton's performance as the caped crusader. Especially Keaton, he still got it! I felt the same joy as back then when I was a kid watching Tim Burton's Batman.
Sasha Calle rocks! While she only appeared in the last half of the movie, her Supergirl is much, much better than I expected.
Cameos. and a lot of them. Yes this can be seen as fan service as their appearance don't really affect the story much, but boy I was super excited and screaming internally watching that one particular scene. Good thing I avoided all the spoilers in the internet.
Still a better multiverse movie than the latest Dr.Strange
Billy Crudup doesn't return as Henry Allen. It's a shame since he did a good job back in JL movie.
There're some "wut" and "aw come on!" scenes, still fun and interesting though.
The soundtrack is just okay. I still love Zack Snyder's JL more. So many epic moments elevated by the majestic score, but I don't feel the same when watching The Flash.
My final rating : 7.5/10
Every time you thought the fight scenes are almost over, there’s still more and it gets crazier! Some people might think low of Keanu Reeves’ acting range, and it shows clearly here, but he seems to fully accept that and enjoys the ride. That’s the least of the problems though, when it comes to doing action scenes, he totally delivered as always. The story is kinda meh and pedictable, but at least the cinematography is neat and lots of beautiful shots to please our eyes. 7.5/10
R.I.P Lance Reddick
This movie got potential but unfortunately the writing and plot are sloppy, despite good acting from both main characters. Not a bad movie though.
20% stealthy secret agent spy stuff, 80% explosions
Sonic's super speed is kinda inconsistent in some scenes (one example is he could evade tons of missiles directed at him easily but still got shot by a tranquilizer gun), though I guess it was necessary to move the plot forward. Overall it's still a fun movie with lots of funny moments, so go watch it!
Although both Leto and Smith done a good job on their parts, sadly bad writing ruins this movie, but hey, at least it's still better and more entertaining than that god-awful Scarlet Witch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Oh wow! I didn't expect much from the start, just wanted to waste my free time watching something light and fun, BUT not only the movie surpassed my expectations, it's also hilarious as hell! While the writing isn't that special and just slightly better than a standard rom-com, both leads had really great chemistry on screen and looked so CUTE together and it definitely helped making this movie many times more enjoyable. You should watch this!
