Clyde Thomas, Fire Chief in Onslow, North Carolina, has been serving as Captain of the Fire and Rescue team since February of 2020. Mr. Thomas started his career as a firefighter at DC Fire and EMS in 2003. During his time in DC, he successfully completed 13 different training courses in various areas of fire and safety. He was able to use that knowledge and skill to serve as Fire Training Coordinator in Chambersburg, PA and as Fire Instructor and Burn Supervisor in Doylestown, PA for over 8 years. Upon moving from DC to South Carolina in July 2013, Clyde Thomas became a Fire Training Officer for the City of Hardeeville, SC, then took on the role of fire chief at the same fire station in February 2014. Mr. Thomas worked as the Assistant Chief in Columbia, SC before taking on his current role as fire chief in Onslow.
