Dolores.
First we root for her in the first season.
Then we hate her in the second season.
Now we’re kinda starting to like her again.
Or better said: the way we feel about her flips during scenes.
Westworld truly has its own Carrie Mathison.
The Amazon money is really showing. The entire season and especially Ilus looked insanely beautiful.
Can't wait for Season 5. Going to be fantastic.
No Way!... Can you believe that Awesome, Freaking Ending?... I was literary on the edge of my seat,... Freaking Awesome!
OMG that ending, great suspense!!
It was super considerate of Bobbie's nephew to give his aunt the opportunity to vent some perfectly understandable frustrations.
God this show is beautiful. That shot of Tycho was just insane. Love that we are getting more of those scenic shots. Luna as well. Could watch an hour of just that.
Goddamn that ending.... They sure know how to keep us in suspense until the next episode :O
I love how they compared Holden and Burton's characters by the one drinking coffee and the other drinking alcohol. Very poetic.
This had the feels from a season finale! Christina and Teddy are so sweet together and i didnt see that reveal coming. I could binge watch all the season right now! Charlote fucking Hale won!
Avasarala.....
Her performance is one of the reasons I watch.
Never a dull moment.
Great show.
From last episode’s eye popping escapes, and amping up story wise, we come to this lovely little point in the tale.
Although it lacks the action of the previous episode, it provides this clever counterpoint theme around Miller’s lack of drinking and Holden’s hunt for a cup of coffee, which is perfectly expressed on Holden’s face during the final moments.
Our wider view grows of “The Butcher of Anderson Station” and what does and doesn’t lie in wait at Tycho Station grows, as does the newly minted crew of the Rocinante’s loyalties and clearly democratic structure. For now at any rate.
I do think Miller’s haircut is ridiculous, and his hat foolish, but there’s something dogged and admirable about his character regardless of his jaded anti-hero leanings. His now blatant adoration of Julie Mao is making him a better man already as is evident with his laying off the drink, and he’s on her trail still, getting closer and closer. Dangerously close, I’d say.
I continue to adore Holden’s stubbly jawbone, and crinkly laugh lines. Amos and Alex, I am also digging, and Naomi’s still so damn mysterious as any self-respecting woman should be, that it’s hard not to cheer and gasp at their twists and turns of fate. Despite last episode’s shocking kill off of Shed, I doubt we will lose any more of the survivors from the Cant, at least not this season. This is clearly the core group of antagonists.
All in all this episode tautly advances the story without ever slipping into exposition for it’s own sake. It maintains a tight focus on the next layer of the story, while the flashback elements are perfectly integrated, making it perfectly clear that our rag-tag band of survivors (get it!?) are nowhere near out of the woods yet.
This show gets better and better.
This was probably my favourite episode of the season and I'm now itching to watch the season finale. The refugees situation on the decaying station was as tense as it was emotional.
It seems to me this episode had the right balance of politics and action, I wish the rest of the show was this much balanced in that department (there's often too much politics involved, though I understand that's a matter of personal taste, but I like my sci-fi shows with less politics and more sci-fi).
"With all due respect, Madame, where are you going with this?"
"Wherever I goddamn like!”
"Whoever the fuck you are, stand down and let her speak."
Yup. Gotta love Chrisjen Avasarala more and more all the time.
thank you for reminding me what a badass engineer Naomi is.... ladies who science are amazing.
Avasarala's new security duo is my favorite partneship of S2.
Erinwright is a dirty worm...and I don't trust anything about him. He would trade his own planet to save himself.... and he just poisoned the ambassador from Mars.
Naomi working to save as many people as she could and being saved in return, one of the most emotional scenes this season
Thank you Alex for overriding Holden and remembering your humanity.
This episode is one of the best of the season, the writing and tension superb. There is not a single extraneous or wasted scene or moment, and the focus on the story unfolding remaining very sharp.
The salvage mission on the the Anubis by now feels familiar, but I'm glad it's the crew of the Rocinante doing the blowing up rather than running. What they uncover of course are more questions, and almost few answers.
The moment the crew of the Rocinante and Miller meet up in the Blue Falcon, in search of Lionel Polanski, is one of the high points of this season, and one that still thrills me although I think I've seen this episode three times at this writing.
Somehow, and there's a little voice that is telling me this, they will be together for a minute.
One has to feel some type of way for Miller. His heartbreak at finding his answers is heart wrenching. This is some major turning point for Miller. I'm not certain what is coming for him, but Julie Mao will be for him, what the Cant is for the crew of the Rocinante, and maybe for the whole solar system. Either way, this looks like kismet. Never mind the whole, "touch me again and there'll be another body on the floor," bit. It looks like kismet.
One of the things to appreciate with the season winding down, is how it has used detail and visual textures to build a convincing world and story. The little clues we've been getting are beginning to add up.
Listen, I am really digging Amos. He's the last of the Rocinante crew that I've gotten attached to, but I am really digging him.
I'm so happy this show has finally got back to the level it should be on! At this moment it's firing on all cylinders and bangs out one fantastic episode after the other.
These first three episodes of the season are a great setup for the next seven weeks to come
I had forgotten how much I missed ProtoMiller. Daaamn.
Thie Kievan Rus never made any attempt to invade Scandinavia. Why do they pull this totally bogus plot line out of thin air?
Wow, the show's last 2 seasons are shaping up to turn this into a classic. Last season's build-up is slowly paying off, though I'm not sure how much of the story going forward has to do with the colonial rush.
On top of it, Cara Gee, Wes Chatam and Dominique Tipper have had some of the best emotional scenes of this show in these couple of episodes.
I'm really starting to hate Bellamy, leaving her in the woods all alone was cruel and he knows it's dangerous and she may die, they warned them. I'm tired of his unjustified anger. He sure quickly forgot how he drugged her knowing she might die and he didn't care. This is the third time he does that to her. He did worse things than O, he got Lincoln killed as well, but he has to be forgiven, right... Nice episode though.
Started episode one this morning, and binged watched all day.
It seems to me that it's getting worse with each episode. :(
Wow! This show is so good.I don't think SyFy could have made this season at all with their budget.
That refugee crisis handling was indescribably beautiful. A bit idealized, but so darn beautiful.
I might be the only one but i've always loved Elijah and the way he acted. This new Elijah is even more stronger than the old one, but like Klaus said it was all numbers and facts no feelings. I am "afraid" that if his memories ever return that he'll rush back. Also surprised that Klaus lied to Freya about Elijah not being in France, he normally isn't careful about such things
One of the best episodes so far! It was so absolutely beautiful. From the scenery in Eros to the way they concluded Miller and Julies storyline. When I first started the show I wasn’t expecting to enjoy Miller’s character this much, but damn it I did. I also didn’t expect Miller to kiss Julie (or whatever was left of her) so that was a bit of a surprise, but nonetheless great ep. The last 10 minutes filled me with so many emotions and made me cry my eyes out. RIP kopeng mi Mila!
darn...just when I started to love it. A thousand times more interesting than Dark Matter
Season one was pretty great but had a really slow start. Season two though... man... absolutely loving it.
That was one sick bastard
