Well, I suddenly feel a whole lot better about my upbringing.
Uhh why tf was the judges photo next to the kids exactly? That makes zero sense.
Great episode. The Admiral is such a boss, totally stole the show. Also those DOT's are super cute. Looking forward to the finale!
Curious to see where this goes. I'm always a sucker for someone having an insider.
Decent ep. That cliffhanger though ;_;
Haven't really been enjoying the slow burn so far this season so I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. Looks like we're finally about to get into the action!
Wow, the AG is a total piece of shit. I really hope he gets whats coming to him.
Damn nearly died of laughter when it skipped to them fishing for cod haha.
Fun series. Migi is best boy!
The fact that it was a cliche fest really didn't help but overall I thought it was ok. I expected a lot more for a movie with a $200M budget.
Beautiful film; classic Pixar. Really makes you think.
I'm still not really into all this personal drama but this show is worth watching just for the visual effects!
I haven't read the book so I don't really have a reference point but I'm actually really enjoying this so far. The practical effects are really well done, the acting seems top notch and I'm super curious to find out more about the Prophet as well as the Denim Man (Flagg).
Amazing episode! The season is off to a really strong start. Hope they can keep it up.
Decent popcorn flick. Not as great as the first one but not a complete waste of time either. I enjoyed the visuals, the joy riding and the punch money translations.
Moral of the story: Don't vouch for degenerate gamblers.
It's kinda said if you think about it. Dude was just doing his job.
Hotel Moscow: "We'll if they make such a stupid decision then its just an extra name we will add to the list"
Absolutely savage.
This show is literally Peaky Blinders: Asian Edition. Love it!
The Good:
* The animation was great
* The colours (omg, the colours!). Reminds me of Coco
* The songs were well sung and produced
* The characters were fun and believable
The Bad:
* The Story was very "meh" (but thats to be expected from a kids movie)
* The main principles of the story (loneliness, loss of a parent, replacement of a parent) felt shoe horned in.
Best Part:
The start of the movie when the mom becomes ill and... y'know. That hit me in the feels. Even though it feels like a ripoff of Up
Overall I thought the animation was top notch (which should come as no surprise since the animation company used to work for DreamWorks) but the story was a little lacking. If they spend a little more money on decent writers they could really could go far. Looking forward to seeing what they make in the future.
The visuals in the first 30 minutes or so were the best thing about this movie. I guess they blew that budget on it because there wasn't a lot of decent shots after that. Everything else was pretty meh. The story was pretty weak, a lot of the scenes lingered a little too long for my liking and the acting wasn't very convincing. That being said its decent popcorn flick but ultimately very forgettable.
Very pretty but also pretty confusing.
Monkey 1
Dickhead Son 0
Well, it's an improvement at least.
You had my curiosity, now you have my attention.
Lets see where this goes!
The Good:
* Gorgeous
* The action scenes are enjoyable to watch
The Bad:
* Poor acting & dialogue
* Failed to get me invested in any of the characters
* Perhaps the worst sin of all, they took away mushu and replaced it with a useless phoenix
Overall I did enjoy how they made the Mulan story their own but it just failed to hit me emotionally. The lack of humor was also a bit of a disappointment. I'll stick to the original thanks :)
80% cursing 20% story. I'm no stranger to cursing or anything but it feels overdone here.
Good start. I wasn't really interested until the sheriff appeared. Hope this keeps momentum.
Nice to see joe get his comeuppance
Other than some pretty cool action sequences I thought it was pretty generic and full of cliches. Still an enjoyable action flick though. A solid 7/10.
Mostly low hanging fruit but I had a couple of laughs. Pretty aussie focused as well which was nice.
The Good:
* Interesting premise
* Action sequences were pretty good
* Realistic take on immortality
The Bad:
* The music. Awful choices and just felt pretty poorly placed overall.
* Being diverse for the sake of being diverse (gay couple front and center whose relationship added nothing to the story, the young black female soldier who came from a poor family whose background again adds nothing to the story)
* Generic big pharma CEO antagonist who's just trying to make the world a better place.
Overall it was ok. Nothing too amazing and nothing to write home about.
If you enjoyed Netflix's previous film 6 Underground then you'll most likely enjoy this too.
