I bailed after ep. 3. If you can't tell a story without constantly interrupting it with vapid flashbacks of a past life, you're not a good writer.
It started with potential, but quickly derailed into something soapy and far-fetched.loading replies
I almost did the same but I’m glad I didn’t. There are flashbacks in the newer episodes but they’re more relevant and less disruptive than those in the first few episodes. You may want to give it another chance… it’s really getting good, especially episode six.

VIP7There are movies, and there are films. This episode was a film. It was art. It was beautiful colors and images and music that didn’t need to be spoiled by too much dialogue. I recognize that, for many viewers, they could watch an episode like this and think “well, nothing HAPPENED” but I feel like I learned so much from this episode that has helped me appreciate and understand Carmy better.
I think the way the show has handled mental health has been spectacular as well. As someone who also has been shaped by trauma and finds it constantly popping up, often for the worse, I truly appreciate that the show has spent the time to make Carmy so complex and not just brush over the hard things.

VIP3OMG this was a spectacle for the eyes! The colors, the framing just gorgeous. I love the pace of the conversations, not hurried, it’s like savoring a meal watching this.

Your summary is spot on and as well-written as the episode.

VIP7Started off as a half decent action movie till the truly horrible third act.
Why would the government not help kill them under the ice, they were quick enough to believe 'the future people'? Just so you can have your small group of outcasts save the world? Why go through more than half of the movie to help 'the future people' and then barely use what you fought for, the toxin? Terrible writing.

Absolutely spot on. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
