I was bored after 30 minutes of watching this movie. Not for me.
You already know, what to expect from an Adam Sandler movie so there’s no point in complaining about it.
With that being said, the movie had some funny moments. It definitely something to watch with the family.
To be honest, it’s not his worst film.
Fast & Furious has become so over-the-top that I wouldn’t be surprised if the next installment featured car chases on the moon.
Another great performance by Jamie Foxx.
I don't have much to say about it, but it's worth a watch.
Bad bad bad. The action scenes are okayish but the script is absolutely appalling. You will be praying for a blackout.
Sly should be a shamed of himself. If someone of his caliber is willing to act in these type of films, then I got script that I wrote in crayon back in middle school.
I liked it. it was simple, but intense.
If you don't like the Fast & Furious movies, watch this one. You'll end up appreciating the others.
THOUGHT PROVOKING!!! Necessary to see this from the other point of view.
Typical Sandler movie with dumb idiot voice and a few farts. Best to pass the time watching with beer and pizza and delete it from your collection once you've finished wasting your time.
In my opinion, this movie is better than alright. It's really good! Great acting from Matthew Mcconaughey, Corey Stoll, and Edgar Ramirez.
For those of you that felt somewhat disappointed about the production of this film, your expectations were set way too high! This movie was made on a $20 million dollar budget. The Wolf of Wallstreet and American Gangster were both big budget ($100M) films.
I rated this movie 7/10
Very typical "murder on a scenery" movie, but not as bad as you thing. Very decent with nice laughs and nice gigs and of course Aniston.
Perfect Quarantine movie.
I love watching this movie.
The correct title for this move should be Zzzzzz. Unexceptional in every way, its watchable, but fairly dull.
You want a much better rap mockumentary, skip this and watch "Fear of a Black Hat".
Turned it off 3/4 of the way through. Was neither funny or thrilling. I spent most of the time looking at my phone to see how much longer was left. Not usually one for quitting on a movie but this one just bored me to tears.
I liked it! It reminded me of Man on Fire with Denzel Washington.
Probably the most boring action movie ever!
As someone who's never watched anything Batman, this was a great introduction.
One of my all time favorite comedy movies
Waste of time. Just meh.
There are so many funny scenes and good one liners in this film that I doubt you would be worried about a predictable storyline.
Kareem’s foul mouth actually saves the :film_frames:.
King Bach came a long way since Vine videos. I’m glad to see him flourishing. :100:
So this is how an uncircumcised thrill ride feels like, huh?
It's not an action war movie, it's a drama/suspense war movie.
Visually stunning; the cinematography is on another level. The choice to hide cuts to make it look like one long, almost unending take is brilliant. The camera is constantly on the protagonists, giving a sense of poignancy to their journey. I honestly don't know how much of it was visual effect, but the scenarios were very well designed. That trek in no man's land might be one of my favorite sequences ever. So tense, so gruesome, so real. And that scene at night in the abandoned town: that alone justifies the Best Cinematography award "1917" won. Just brilliant.
The soundtrack was great: never over imposing, but present with subtle notes to increase the immersion. Also great sound design, from the squelching of the boots in the mud to the sound of the rifles. I wish I had seen the film in a nice movie theater instead of home.
The story could be a hit or miss. I can see how somebody could find "dull" for a lack of a better word, but to me it felt just right. Only two small things I didn't like. First, the completely lack of aim of the german soldiers (come on, talk about plot armour). Second, the theme of backstabbers germans: it didn't feel right to me, especially the pilot.
I liked the overarching theme of the movie: futility. The colonel receives the message and he stops the attack, but he knows nothing really has changed. The protagonist ends the story in the same way he started: against a tree.
Definitely a must watch, even if just for the visual aspect of it. 8.5/10
I expected low budget crap but it's not. The mister character reminded me of a classic 80's horror character. His character and the action together feel like something from a comic book at times. At other times during fights are played for the reality of the situation. The effects were good for the budget. The makeup was really good.
The post apocalyptic landscape creates the right atmosphere for this vampire movie. The story telling is balanced well.
