Why not cast Grant Gustin for the part? He is definitely the greatest Barry Allen ever, and a great young actor!
Edit 2022: OK, Ezra, move aside, it's Grant's turn!
I do not deny Ezra was good too, and that the last seasons of Flash have been week sauce (I do agree that most baddies are converted to good after a nice speech, nonetheless I'll keep watching it till the end, I'm that kind of viewer...), but Grant is an established Flash, great actor and apparently a calmer human being than Ezra at the moment. :P
Sorry, I'm team Grant! :)
I wish they would follow the book, rather than buy the rights to the book, then throw it all away and just make up new stuff which is apparently what they have done.
This is a very charming movie. The movie deals with stereotypes and racism in the 1960s as well as you would expect. Racism is bad, stereotypes aren't always true but the journey is fun with these two. Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali are both fantastic. They play very well off each other. Being directed by Peter Farrelly there are quite a few funny moments too.
I’m starting to think that Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the writers of this film, are one trick ponies.
They really struggle with keeping subsequent films in their franchises fresh.
Between this and Deadpool 2, I see a lot of what I call ‘Hangover 2’ writing, meaning you change as little as you can from the first movie without making it a straight up remake.
I was annoyed by the amount of jokes from the first film that were repeated in Deadpool 2, and once again, Zombieland: Double Tap is just way too similar to the first film.
It feels lazy, but it’s still entertaining.
5.5/10
Grant Gustin should have been given the role of Barry. I mean, he's doing a wonderful job on the show and is a terrific actor. Why create this huge chasm between the TV and cinematic universe by casting different actors for the same character, when there's already a great Barry that everyone loves?
A great movie that's based on a true story that still rings true to this day. African Americans are incarcerated 5x more than whites and are given 3x longer jail sentences than white people that commit the same crimes. It's sad that In 2020, a person skin complexion can still be a factor in society.
Anyway, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx were phenomenal in this movie.
(ok i know this movie is heavily discussed or whateva but....it was boring as hell. anyways...)
I liked it. it was simple, but intense.
If you don't like the Fast & Furious movies, watch this one. You'll end up appreciating the others.
I typically don't watch movies that about racism because it gets me triggered to see and hear the horrible things my people had to go through. If you go to the deep south (Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama) these days, it looks like slavery left yesterday.
Anyway, the acting was phenomenal. I don't think the studio could have found two better actor than Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali.
Overall, the film was very human, very charming, but also funny. It had little bit of everything. 7/10
Who the hell robs a bank for a million to split it 4 ways? And how's the kids mom going to call him when hiss sell phone has no SIM Card? Lol.
WOW!!! Intense!!!
There are so many funny scenes and good one liners in this film that I doubt you would be worried about a predictable storyline.
Kareem’s foul mouth actually saves the :film_frames:.
King Bach came a long way since Vine videos. I’m glad to see him flourishing. :100:
FINALLY?! A PART TWO OR ARE THEH PLAYING WITH MY ❤️ heart?!?!
Sly should be a shamed of himself. If someone of his caliber is willing to act in these type of films, then I got script that I wrote in crayon back in middle school.
Typical Sandler movie with dumb idiot voice and a few farts. Best to pass the time watching with beer and pizza and delete it from your collection once you've finished wasting your time.
I liked it! It reminded me of Man on Fire with Denzel Washington.
This movie felt rushed....like they had no clue what to do to carry on from the previous film so they just repeated the format with the same exact everything.
The original characters are likeable and still entertaining to watch. The standout performance for me was a new character played by Zoey Deutch I enjoyed every scene she was in.
Other additions in the film I really didn't care about as they weren't really developed in a way that I would care about any of them.
If you were entertained by the first movie you'll probably still enjoy this and have a few laughs.
I felt we waited too long for a sequel and because of that it was a little underwhelming and lacked something I cant quite put my finger on.
I'll give it a 7/10 It had its moments
Really enjoyed this movie. It had so many twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through!
Scary and weird!!
I think I stood breathless watching the last half of this movie. What an intense piece of work! Adam Green is one of my fave modern directors. Incredible.
Shortcuts are always bad... in movies ;)
Unfathomably dull and poorly written.
Here's another great movie that flew under the radar because Hollywood didn't properly promote it.
Bad bad bad. The action scenes are okayish but the script is absolutely appalling. You will be praying for a blackout.
This Movie just great entertainment. Seen it in theatres in 2004 and loved it since!
Wow. So underrated. I'm glad I stumbled across it.
