I enjoyed the movie. The user reviews on IMDb are good and I think the critics are just overanalyzing. The plot was simple. Don't expect Interstellar kinda drama because let's face it,Interstellar is epic and such movies don't come every year. I really enjoyed the space scenes and the overall look of the spaceship. The ending could have been better, but don't expect realism in everything and you'll enjoy the movie. It was far from being a dumb movie as many people are commenting.
I was much hopeful after seeing the Deathly hallows:part 1 but this movie..anyone who has read the book will agree that this one is way too underwhelming. Many of the famous scenes of the book were lost in translation in the big screen. And there were plot changes in movie, in which they just tried to make an action movie without taking the dynamics of the story into account. This movie has annoyed me for years because it was not the farewell that Harry Potter series deserved.. But then, after seeing Fantastic beasts and where to find them, I have finally made peace with David Yates, that was a brilliant movie true to the soul of Harry Potter series.
I do nit understand the people who are saying that they have found it boring.Either they don't know Harry Potter universe at all or they know it only through the movies. I,having grown up with Harry Potter books,loved the movie.I will go as far as saying that it has been more magical than any other Harry Potter movie, even though it doesn't have Harry and the rest of the cast we are familiar with. With this movie,David Yates has redeemed himself of the abymal ridicule that was Deathly Hallows part 2.
IP man trilogy is one of the greatest epics I have ever watched. Though its not necessary, but please do watch ip man 1 and 2 before watching this, only then you will understand the dynamics of the movie better. This was also the most emotional movie out of the 3. Some fight sequences added to the background score is just monumental and it stays with you.
