Is this worth a watch? Looks interesting.
The main character of this anime is one of the most annoying that I have ever seen.
Here is my in-depth review on Slime (no spoilers): https://takanodan.net/2019/03/slime-s1/
Boring, cheesy, and flat out unentertaining. Pity, as I usually like isekai and was looking for something light to watch, but this is flat out boring. The characters are lifeless, the story is predictable as hell, and nothing interesting happens. The main character also seems to want to make friends with everything that they see. Big disappointment.
The only good thing about this anime is Ranga the big dog: https://i.imgur.com/MlQyOem.png
Found this show pretty overrated TBH, don't really know why everyone was preaching about it so much. It was ok, but definitely not the best thing that I've seen - Berserk was far better for example.
This series does great in making you despise every cast member. I think Serena is one of the annoying characters I have ever seen in any TV show.
Basically a show about a bunch of spoilt brats who like to make their own drama and stick their noses into everyone's business but theirs.
The British setting conflicting with the very US school is kind of confusing :/
Very slow pacing ruined it for me. Each episode was just dragged out for ages, which was a pity.
A great anime. I'll miss it! This was the first anime I started when it aired.
Started off much stronger than it ended imo, but really enjoyed it anyway. Off to the light novels!
A decent anime, but the pacing is very, very slow. I really liked the start but it just got too slow 30 episodes in.
Slow to start but gets good. Ep. 10 especially.
Also has one of the best soundtracks IMO.
Dropped this anime after EP 7. One of the most boring animes I've watched. Started off ok, but got old so quickly. Wouldn't recommend watching this, there's tons of other stuff that is much more worth your time.
This is a surprisingly fun little watch, and is pretty wholesome. Nice to watch after a long day, plus the episodes are short. Would recommend if you want something light and heartwarming!
This is a brilliantly crafted and emotional anime. I cannot recommend it more. One of the best things I have seen.
You can read my review on it here: https://takanodan.net/2019/04/violet-evergarden/
The ultimate playing hard to get anime.
Gets better as it goes on. Live through the first two or three episodes, and it does pick up.
This show is a really nice anime to watch when you want something light and relatively cheerful. The characters are built out well, and they each have different personalities. The conflict between Sena and Yozora is well done, and you can clearly see their personality contrasts. In addition to this, it's nice to see how the group bonds over time - despite them not realising it, they are in fact becoming friends and achieving the groups goals.
There are also good parts of humor, especially in the special at the end of season 1, and scattered throughout the anime. Whilst some of it did fall flat, there was enough of it to give me a chuckle every now and then.
I love the soundtracks of this anime, especially the end one. They are really well done, and if I could listen to them on Spotify, I would. I rarely watch outros and intros, however I found myself listening to the outro on multiple occasions as I liked it so much.
The second season was certainly my favourite - the character development had been done, and here, it was exploring the characters in a deeper way, as well as improving the bond between Kodaka, Sena and Yozora.
All in all, a good watch if you want something light and fun, and in the classic 'main character doesn't notice all the adoring girls around him' harem style.
I'm certainly going to pick up the manga, and hope for a third season of the anime.
Would recommend.
An amazing anime, I would recommend checking out the movies too. The 2016 isn't that great, so I would suggest reading the manga, and if you like it, watching 2016.
This is the best anime I have watched, and the best manga I have read.
Anime really picked up in the last three episodes.
IMO, the relationship between Kaede and Sakuta works really well, and these last few episodes really touched me.
By far the best anime for Berserk - it covers the manga up to the eclipse. Sadly, it stops there, but there are movies and the 2016 anime. However, these are certainly not on par with this anime.
I would certainly reccomend reading the manga, however this is a great way to get into Berserk. One of the best things I've watched.
