(Initial, and final, Impression) For someone who "discovered" the school library in sixth grade and then read all the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys novels they had in that same year, I was hoping for more. The writing for this series is bad. Aging up Nancy and her crew may have opened the door for the gratuitous sexual content but there was no reciprocal mature dialogue or adult social dynamics in this series. The interactions are juvenile. Just a big disappointment. Because I don't hold out hope that this series will get any better than this premiere, I'm giving it a 3 (bad) out of 10 and abandoning the series. [Mystery]
Watching the show. Mac was always humble but the new Mac is arrogant. Ruined it.
Very good crime drama with nice Asia setting!
Every episode is better than the preceding one... should be a bumper finale!
8.5/10
An excellent show full of twists and turns, I am really looking forward to the finale.
Aside from the out of place (and time) modern rap music, I enjoyed this first episode a lot.
I hated the stupid children in TWD, now they made a whole series with children:joy:. Please don’t waste your time on this one. Deleted it immediately
This nonsense needs to stop.
Why tell stuff, when you can just show it?
The most intimate, best-written and memorable moments of this masterpiece hardly use any words. The story presents itself with its characters, the brillant acting and just the ability to resonate with the viewer. So many moments are just real, they don't feel real, they are real because everyone of us has felt the same many many times in their lives.
It's not just being able to see yourself in one or some of the characters, it's also the moments where you feel completely alienated by their actions, just as how sometimes everyone feels detached from themselves. Sometimes it's as if you look into a mirror that is steadily moving away from you - seeing yourself out of reach of yourself, but somehow it's still you.
This show hurts in the right places and still is enjoyable. It shows you that everyone is surrounded by people that love them, that are affectionate. It shows you that when you're down and alone, you're in fact not alone in your feeling at least - albeit you might be lonely physically, loads of people feel the same way, all the time.
It's awesome that they don't show the protagonists as perfect human beings, instead just as human beings - with their mistakes, intricacies, quirks, imperfections - frankly, just all the stuff that makes them, and us, human and relatable.
This show is fuckign brillant. And I hate the fact that I can't watch it again for the first time.
This show has made me miss the feeling of first being in love with someone.
This show has made me miss the happy life when I lived every day carelessly in school with my friends, while also making me realise and acknowledge that life is fucking awesome and that I'm surrounded by amazing people.
This show is definitely tailored to young adults that are doing their studies like me, but still. I think everyone might not regret giving it a fair chance. Really. I love it so much.
It's not bad, it's just not great. Not doing it for me. The show and all the singing... oh the singing - I guess if you're huge on Broadway musicals this may be for you... I'm alright with cartoon musicals but this one goes a step too far with the show tunes. Still, I'm going to give it a fair chance and try to see season 1 through to the end. Huge fan of Bitsy and Helen - they're hilarious and they're the highlight of the show.
Apple had the courage to compare this to some of the well established animated TV shows in the push notification they used to advertise it. While those are comedy shows, Central Park is not one. It’s a musical and a bland one at best.
Not without flaws, but if you find the premise intriguing, the series is really very binge-worthy. The acting is decent, the direction pretty good. I'll be excepting the second season with excitement
incredibly interesting concept for an absurdly tension packed series
as of now only 6 episodes are available, and I'm literally craving for more I hope it will get continued because the story has so much potential.
UPDATE : The show actually got a season 2, and unfortunately it was just as short as the first. Man, if only this show had a bit more time I'm sure it would use it well.
What to say about Season 2? Overall I didn't hate it, there were quite a few moments/decisions that i didn't really appreciate, for example Gia's character and her actions, truly blood boiling. Other than that, the show still managed to really keep the tension up and keep me interested all the way.
I still really want to see a season 3 because not that much happened in terms of actual story and there is A LOT going on as of the last episode, I just really hope this series will see another season. I heard there will be a spin off which is good news, let's hope we get to see how this story gets continued, and hopefully with something more than 6 episodes this time :)
Beautiful cinematography somewhat diluted by a primary school level narrative. Now if only we could drag the target audience away from their computer games to watch this.
I definitely would still be watching if it hadn't been canceled. Love the whole feel of the series.
One hell of a superb fantasy adventure ride where i finished the whole season in a single sitting (last something like this happened was with Stranger Things). Enjoyed Narnia? You will love this! Wished for a not so kids friendly Disney show? This is for you!
Show was funny, interesting, dark and mysterious. Even the VFX was awesome!
The ending was well made, with some twists abit predictable but still a very good ending towards the end. Now I can't wait for Season 2.
Show deserved a 10/10, but some parts were abit draggy and unnecessary. Overall the show was for me a 9/10
I was close to stop watching the show after the first three episodes. Everyone seemed to be a self-absorbed rich asshole, the show itself seemed to be going nowhere. But I'm so glad I didn't stop watching. Episode five was the first one where I thought "Oh, maybe it isn't so bad after all." It only improved afterwards. With all the schemes, backstabbing, and generally horrible people it's basically Game of Thrones set in 2018 New York. Succession is probably the best show on TV at the moment. I can't wait for season two.
First episode was really amazing! Great pace, no silly fillings, all the Star Wars ingredients; from the mood, the races, the peculiar way of filming and transitions. Humor was nice and mild, but never overdone. I can't wait for the rest! <3
I don’t know why trakt.tv has only what appears to be a dislodged rating system. At least it could enable the use of a double system, the actual and a parallel one. The latter based on the actual ratings and data gathered from each episode to derive each season and overall series ratings using applied statistics.
As of now, Sunday, February 25, 2018, 01:41 UTC, the ratings for this show, Seven Seconds, were:
Whole Show (only one season released) gets a 50% with 18 votes,
Season 1 (10 episodes, all released) has an 80% with 2 votes,
Each Episode of the season 1 has a rating between 68% and 77% and 8 episodes out of the 10 received ratings 70% or higher.
Obviously, the TV Show’s, Season’s and Episodes’ ratings don’t seem to add up. To me, they simply don’t make any sense.
The current rating system besides being misleading to most, makes much harder than it should [could] be to find out [make an informed guess] if watching a specific TV Show or Season could be worthwhile or not.
Maybe someone could explain why trakt.tv doesn’t have, at least optionally, a parallel rating system derived from an algorithm –system– which makes mathematical and statistical sense or otherwise be so kind to explain to me how to make sense of the current one, because sincerely I don’t get it at all.
Can't wait for this to start, Boba Fett is most folks favourite character from Star Wars so this should be a hit...
a bunch of new age teens terms been thrown around, easy and ineffective jokes, a disappointment.
Who's idea was it to make this into a show? Works as a comic, but not really as a show.
This show is special for me, it kinda makes me feel the same way I felt watching Freaks and Geeks for the first time. (I'm a sucker for anything with Apatow's name on it anyway. Plus, Gillian Jacobs !)
I was intrigued since the beginning but sometimes, man... Just like in Gus and Mickey's relationship, I have deep attraction for the show but there are also moments when it's difficult. But in the end it's Love. First season was tough because at some point I hated Gus for being an hypocrite asshole but loved Mickey and then other moments I liked Gus but hated Mickey for being such a mess. They both made pretty shitty choices and their relationship had a weird dynamic overall.
Season two felt better, less cringe-y. I still don't always understand the characters or even their behavior, but I like that. I like that I am sort of building a relationship with them as the episodes unfold, learning about them and where they are coming from. It's funny how I am witnessing them doing better in their lives and with their relationship but I am also doing better accepting them for who they are.
A fantastic show overall, but damn it needs a 4th season. I know the 3rd is meant to be the final season but it just feels like there is still more of a story to tell. Despite that however, I think this is such a hidden gem of a show and I adored it!
Not for the faint hearted even though this show will leave you feeling Euphoria in some moments
This show straight from the word Euphoria literally brings lots of really important matters faced by teenagers today into light. This show is not for the faint hearted as it deals with drugs, violence, romance, sex and much more, therefore showing an all round representation of what teenagers are faced with nowadays. The main character RUE deals with her own demons from having a drug habit where she overdosed and her sister found her on the floor practically dead. RUE faking being clean to her Mom and then after meeting this girl called Jules who has her own demons and interests that is set on this man who is just a character cat fishing her into a false sense of security. RUE falls for her hard where the Euphoria grows and you watch their relationship go as RUE stays clean and keep going to rehab as Jules is literally her rock and the main reason why she is trying to stay clean. I am so happy and practically Euphoric right now that this amazing show has got renewed for a second season ten out of ten amazing acting especially from Hunter And Zendaya. Lets keep this new amazing HBO show going for lots more seasons too go and the soundtracks will leave you feeling so euphoric. #Rules #Euphoria #EuphoriaHBO #Zendaya
okay so I was watching hbo on vacation and saw a add for this show and when I went home I ordered HBO now to order hbo and it's worth every penny of the big ol price you have to pay however this show is filthy isn't for kids in the least so much nudity sex drugs rape and violence and the show is very hard to watch at times but oh so good alot of fun to watch you will for sure enjoy this show if you have the backbone to watch I even have to skip parts
So far I think the show is very good. I feel like I am watching an updated version of Skins (UK) for 2019. Is that a bad thing? No. I think this show has its own stories to tell, but with similar themes. Labrinth's musical direction and original works are superb. I am going to continue watching.
Freddie Highmore is such an incredible actor. His performance in this tv show as a genius autistic doctor is absolutely amazing. If you debated on whether or not to pick up this new show for watching, do it!! You will not be disappointed.
Overall pretty awesome show. The music is always on point, the child actors are amazing and the story is interesting and captivating start to finish.
Would love a second season be it a sequel to this or maybe an anthology series a la Fargo.
one of the few German Shows that I really enjoyed. Kinda funny that the Story is from my Hometown only a few Blocks away ^^
