one of the greatest family films with a magical feeling and many positive messages. holds up surprisingly well even more than 10 years later

James Franco movies keep getting worse even though I liked him once. :( If I was watching this movie alone I had stopped after less than 30 minutes in, the acting is absolutely horrible. only watchable when it's too late at night to think properly. I'm afraid the creators threw a couple million dollars into the trash!

Wow. Saw this movie yesterday here in Germany. Beautiful pictures, great story and an overall amazing movie. This is easily the BEST MOVIE OF 2012 !!

okay... so basically I like Sherlock Holmes, but this movie was completely different. Was much more like a regular action film which has nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes. I recommend the tv series 'Sherlock' if you want true Holmes & Watson experience ;)
