The big question is have Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy been replaced by hosts? Because I can't imagine how they could possibly greenlight these garbage scripts.

@erebos This is what inevitably happens when you're forced to fit what is clearly 2-3 seasons of plot development into one shortened season. Plus, a tonne and budget crunch on top of that.
As David Lynch would say, there's no space to get 'dreamy' and get all the fun set pieces and proper setup in when the creative team are put under these kinds of constraints, and it just squeezes the fun of of it.
I think what's most painful this season is that you can see the structures of what could have been really great given proper space to develop, but it never lives up to what it could be cause it doesn't have the room to let you live in what it's made for a minute.

If John's dead, is that other fella who was with jacob pretending to be John? Did he also inherit John's memories? Why is jacks father involved in all this? Did he come back to life just like John?

@elexen Also means that John never actually told himself to go back in time. He was tricked into thinking that by the impersonator entity
