Why did they start the show with sexy people, kill them, then base the show on plain looking boring people?
I lost interest when the sexy people died. Clearly this is not for me. They took away the reason to keep watching, and made it just dull boring people doing dull boring things.
I don't support the move towards non-attractive, unsexy, boring characters and actors in Hollywood for the sake of diversity.
We used to love this show but it's gone down hill the last year or two, and this year it's just bad. The newer characters are just poor actors and the story is boring that not even the older characters can keep it interesting.
I used to enjoy the show very much. It should have ended 83563945 seasons ago.
In the series Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the promise of a captivating adaptation of the original movie is quickly undone. The potential for an engaging story is wasted on monotonous dialogues and uninteresting characters. The title suggests a plot full of action and romance, but what we find are two people talking incessantly, without offering anything substantial. The lack of chemistry between the protagonists contributes to the boredom that pervades each episode. Additionally, the absence of significant elements from the original film leaves viewers questioning the reason for using the name of the original work. Instead of paying homage to the movie, the series seems to only capitalize on its fame, without truly honoring its essence. Action moments are scarce and poorly executed, leaving much to be desired in terms of entertainment. It's disappointing to see a potentially thrilling adaptation reduced to a series of tedious and uninteresting conversations. In the end, it's another example of a work that fails to capture the magic of the original, becoming just a pale shadow of what could have been.
There's yet another example of a son wiping his ass with his father's work. The heir always fulfilling his purpose. Congratulations to those involved.
Dumb. Let’s take a movie and add DEI garbage to it.
This is what happens when you take an awesome idea and "woke" it. And that is the whole focus of this series, being "woke".
Totally unbelievable characters, spending hours exploring their feelings, really not a lot of action, and really hard to invest in anything in this story. I really tried to watch all of it, but after the 5th episode I keep falling asleep - I just don't care what else happens - I'm expecting Jane to discover she's gay, and John to fall in love with a white person, to complete the wokeness.
Very slow, and not like the movie at all, if that is what you're expecting - skip this.
Redeems itself a little in the last episode, bringing it all together and closer to the movie story.
4-10 poor
I watch every episode, hoping, praying, pleading that it would get better or maybe improve……
It just didn’t!!!!
Now I like slow moving thought provoking drama, but this takes slow moving to a whole new level, it basically sends you to sleep and just as your nodding off, a action scene pops up to wake you up.
Thing is the action is few and far in between and your heart rate doesn’t go up with it…..
Out of the all the episodes only one stands out and that’s the last one, there might be one more episode but I can’t say I can pick one of the top of my head.
Yes it focuses heavily on the relationship side of things, but the couple are boring and uninteresting, John might have been alright, but Jane was such a bitch and boring as hell that the character sucked all the life out of the relationship and the show itself….
Yes I did watch it all, every single episode, why???
Just pure hope and wanting it to work, hoping that the next episode it will finally kick off, but it didn’t…..
Some how the last few minutes of each episode came to life and gives you what the whole episode should have been like, but minutes at the end of each 50-60min show won’t save it…..
The basic theme of this show is: "You're not what I'm looking for in a partner. Instead of being a responsible adult and ending the relationship, I'm going to be a cry baby. I'll assert that I am entitled to have the partner I want. I'll demand that you somehow live up to my expectations. I'll refuse to take any responsibility for my unreasonable expectations. I'll shame you for not being who I want you to be, but I will also refuse to leave... because love."
