Freddy is up there with Tanya McQuoid for characters that annoy me the most, well done
Bad writing here. First they grab him off the street because of a question is his background check and then reveal her secret to him?
INASIAL - I'm not a spy. I'm a lawyer.
Your mum is bad and your dad is worse...
Perfect that a scary movie for Wednesday Addams is Legally Blonde.
Since Jenna Ortega announced that she filmed without blinking in the shots I've been obsessed with looking for examples of her blinking.

What Sabrina used to be: funny, dark, with undertones of real adolescent issues. Excellent monsters, acceptable dialog, good acting and what must be excellent editing.
Thing is a delight.
Starlight's loneliness and isolation eats you up and up and up each episode more, it's like ticking.
Loved the musical scene (and the humanity Kimiko brings. It gives a wider balance to all the rest of blood and stuff, in the squad itself)
LOL @ A-Train's energy drink commercial, parodying Kendall Jenner's Pepsi ad.
So many good parallels drawn from reality, like The Deep's support for Homelander's "hard stance on crime" which is, of course, used as doublespeak to excuse racial biases in law enforcement.
I love how much the writing has improved this season. The central theme seems to follow the great proverb:
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."
- John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton
Thanks The Boys... 15 years watching Supernatural looking forward to seeing Jensen's ass and you guys gave us this delicious moment after only 2 episodes!
We expected more of a fight from you James, you're English. For God's sake 5 of you lot got together and invaded half the world
A good start for the new season, however with the change of the actor playing Baldwin came a change of the character as well... Not having read the books, I am not sure which is more faithful to the actual character..
Aslo who was that guy at the table with Sarah and the others while Baldwin was at Sept tours? Is he Matthew's friend? Was he a vampire as well? I barely have any recollection of him...
Old centuries' costumes did not do Steven Cree justice (both on this show's last season and on Outlander)! I was surprised by how good he looks in his current attire!!
I literally jumped when Baldwin snapped and hit the table!
Ysabeau felt a powerful presence near Sept Tours but only the least reliable person (Marcus) got out to check it. The chateau is filled with daemons, witches, and vampires. They are already aware of the danger lurking around them however they still have no preparations whatsoever. They are basically just sitting idly waiting for Matthew and Diana to come back.
I didn’t like Diana going behind Matthew’s back and giving her blood to Hubbard when Matthew explicitly told her not to! This is bound to make troubles and we see the first glimpse of that when Benjamin Fuchs comes questioning Hubbard. Speaking of Fuchs, is the Oxford blood rage vampire related to him in any way? We got a reveal of the face but it is not someone we recognize, at least I don’t. Are we supposed to have an idea by now who it is?
What is the point of Marcus’ girlfriend? She feels very forced into the story…
For the love if shit, people. Without the first 3 episodes we wouldn't have this episode. Without the first 3 episodes this one wouldn't be as impactful. It's storytelling and all part of a larger whole. Stop saying, "finally we're getting somewhere," or "this is what the show should have been from the start." Its a journey. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Holy shit.
That girl demanding to know if Marcus is hiding something and snooping around the house?! I mean, you’ve known him for 2 seconds, Chill Out!!
I love how the show make me feel and see Earth as extraterrestrials, so to be wonderfully pleased by all of its beauties, even if at the exit of a sewage pipe
With Earth and Mars Colony at odds, and the "asteroid" Belters stuck in the middle, there is plenty of scope for a good story arch, while all the while a malevolent presence looms in the background.
The Expanse is a genuine space opera. Top notch characters and plenty of time to give them the depth they deserve. There are really no unlikable regular characters, which makes a pleasant change. We aren't expected to take sides because each of the three groups are simply humans trying to do what's best for their respective populations. We watch them all from a position of spying on our descendants, whilst recognising they are no different than we are today.
The show is full of intrigue, action, drama, joy and sadness. The production is high enough to make the science & tech convincing. The CGI is admirable, though it's not quite up to current blockbuster movie standards.
I've been reading the novels recently and the show certainly does them justice. If you like epic sci-fi you'll definitely enjoy this.
Wow! And thus ends one of the stranger love stories in sci-I literature. Beautiful and moving.
This episode will be polarizing, but we can all agree it was good, borderline great. No matter what viewpoint you are watching it from. From a thriller, to a romantic love story to sacrifice...Wow I got the feels from this one.
A Japanese woman and a LGBT woman beating the living shit out of a Nazi
I call it Poetic Cinema chief kiss
ALSO WHAT THE FUCK
‘But it is not about me. I can’t lash out like some raging, entitled maniac. That’s a white man’s luxury’ - Stan Edgar -
This episode was something omg and best of the season, of the show, so much pay off to what they were building and terrific performance by the actors and writers. Homelander is in an interesting place...it will be good to see what he does during season 3 and that ending omg. S3 looks super exciting already.
When Stormfront is speaking German, it's actually pretty good, but with strong accents. She's saying: "Do you remember that day, Frederick, Cloe put her arms out the car window. We found the perfect spot by the river in the shade of an apple tree. It was the first time Cloe ate fresh apples."
The control that Starlight takes in the tense situation with A-train seemed perfect to me. and to think that she seemed the naive, deadbeat of the group. I love the script of this series and how they develop the characters.
After season one Vanya being such an unconvincing heterosexual we've finally dropped the pretense and leant into it. They had chemistry from the get go but this episode hints that it might actually build somewhere.
P.s is it just me or is Diego looking more and more like Bob Morley this season??
I love the fact that they're making this like it's a comic-book that came to life. From the get go you're confronted with that hightened reality (esp. that Spartacus-like buckets of blood) and over the top action, and the generally comical interactions. Because toning it down or grounding it in reality would do it more harm than good.
I think most people would know from just this episode how much they're gonna love/like/hate the show, it encompasses everything that is American Gods : Dreamy, comical, weird, dark, and super weird. You'll go "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?" more times than you can count in this story.
I just can't fucking wait for people's reaction on the Salim and the Jinn story in ep. 3
The sequencing of the club scene and the 'handover' that was more like a scramble, was one of the tightest of this entire show, with a single shot fired. I thought it was beautifully done.
Is there a word for when you're relieved, happy and a bit sad, all at once?
For me, the best shows are the ones that leave you wanting more, and this will definitely be the case here. The story is finished in a satisfactory way but I also think that the side characters were so entertaining that their stories could have been told as well. At the same time I'm also relieved these stories weren't told since it's hard to keep it balanced in a way that it doesn't start to drag on for too long, meaning that the show gets to fade to black at its peak.
Thanks to everyone involved that made this happen - even Netflix, for listening to reason and not denying us a proper farewell.
holy shit that was EPIC AS HELL I WANT MORE
Wow! I loved the first season, but this season was ten times better. Such a masterpiece!
Now I just hope that we don't have to wait almost two years again for season 3.
EDIT June 2: I take it back! I'd much rather wait two years for a new season than having this amazing show cancelled. :(
