Amazing sendoff for Bobbi and Hunter. They really got the formula right in the last minutes of the show. Hard not to shed a tear even knowing they will have their own show. I can't think of a more fitting way to have bid them farewell.
About the usual quality of Lopez's acting. I guess they are trying to make the role sexy or such. Watchable but not amazing.
The attention to period detail and the quality of the acting was well above standard. I dare to say that Sean Bean carried this series. As previously stated the plot was underwhelming and stretched. It could have been covered in a movie easily. I was also dissapointed with the ending. It was way to contrived and left me dissatisfied.
I am glad to have watched it though for the atmosphere coming from sets, clothing and that visible breath was inspiring.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this show. However I was hooked from the start, the atmosphere is quite unique, and I can only describe it as Dickensian. The combination of cinematography, music and fantastic casting really transports one off to a whole new world where dickens reigned supreme.
I recommend anyone check this out, not just fans of period drama.
This is not a show for fans of the original Walker. The first episode was pretty boring. Hoping it picks up but Jared lacks the charisma Chuck Norris had, I found it hard to evoke any interest in what happened. If this was a new show that wasn't using the name walker to attract people, I doubt I'd watch episode 2. But I'll give it a shot to see if it improves, ironically though the best part of the show after the first episode is the name.
I do not like the 10 minute format, but always love some stargate. I hope this leads to something else be it movies or a series. Ellie Gall is fairly good as Catherine, though I find it a bit hard to believe the german soldiers would be so lacking in any indications of intelligence. The one left to guard her didn't seem like he was capable of tying his own shoelaces.
I am a fan of Hayley Atwell and Philippa Coulthard. I have only watched one episode so far but I will definitely follow with more. Its no Downton Abbey but it has potential.
Very low budget (I hope) movie with a fairly boring and completely predictable story line. There was so little emotion or grit in this, which is exactly what I expected to be in this. It was watchable but only just barely.
I expected to be disappointed. Having grown up with Wonder Woman and expecting another re-imagining, but this movie was amazing. They captured the essence of classic wonder woman in a fantastically produced modern movie. The casting was fantastic, the chemistry amazing, I wish all modern superhero movies were so good.
This movie was strange. It felt like at any moment it would become amazing but it never got there. I think the performances by the cast were good you could see they put effort into their roles I just don't think the plot and writing was quite good enough to make it shine. I did love the costume designs and the premise. I gave it a 9 as I did enjoy it but I felt this was a movie that could easily have been a 10 but just fell over before the finish line.
Amazing movie. Aside form the fantastic chemistry and great character development, the pretty decent plot the music is what takes this movie from good to fantastic. Its also an emotional ride with a lot of well written and scripted jokes to poignant moments of emotional bonding and sadness.
Highly recommended. One of the top marvel movies to date.
Simply amazing. Completely captured the essence of the original animation movie with a great cast, good chemistry and tears to boot.
It was a great ending but really sad that it had to be an ending.
Fantastic tribute to Tolkien. I really enjoyed how they wove parts of the LOTR storyline into the plot and even used some of Aragorn's speech before the gates of mordor. Well written episode. It was a shame it didn't have the epic destruction of the spear in the vein of the destruction of the ring but I guess they have to keep the plot going.
This movie was an unexpected gem. Dakota Fanning's performance was the best I have seen from her. I had not any idea of the plot or such when I saw it and it really blew me away the way it was not so much written as constructed. I'd avoid spoilers to get the most out of this one.
Well worth the watch! Surprising role for witherspoon but she impressed.
This show is really funny. I only just discovered this and am sad it was cancelled but the episodes they made are worth watching.
I really enjoyed the first episode of this, I hope the show keeps up the pace, it has the potential to be much better than The Catch.
I am fan of Amy Acker, but had put this movie to the bottom of the list as the name made me think it would be a bit of a simplistic overly traditional Christmas movie, which is not necessarily a bad thing but there's so many of those movies.
I was extremely surprised to find this movie outdid all of my expectations and was an amazing, moving, sad, humorous movie with quite a bit of depth, so far as a Christmas movie is concerned. Highly recommended to everyone!
Good typical romance story. I enjoyed this. If you like this type of movie you will enjoy this one.
Just saw the first episode and thought it was great, sad to see its already been cancelled.
Seems good so far, though while the story is very different I was surprised to see another railway historical show after hell on wheels.
If you don't shed a few tears during this one you're not very human. Very well written story with great cast.
This was a great episode. I must say I am not enamored by the new Doctor Who though, I have nothing against her being female, I was excited by that, but I find her performances feel very forced and not at all natural, almost like she is trying too hard. I am hoping that she will grow into the role. That said this episode was so well written and acted. And the supporting cast is amazing.
I really enjoyed this show it always perplexes me why such good shows get cancelled while shitty ones go on and on. It is a bit painful that was seems to have been written as a season cliffhanger kind of ruins the end of the show but I assume thats the fault of the network cancelling not the writers.
Just as it got good... nice to see lucifer kicking some ass.
This certainly changed my perspective when I think of Winnie the Pooh now, I grew up with Pooh thinking how cool to be Christopher Robin. I guess I had that very wrong. I liked this movie. Though part of me wishes I had never seen it, as I will never be quite so happy when I think of Winnie the Pooh.
I do like this show but this episode was one of the weakest the plot I have seen many times on procedural shows. Perhaps was a bit of a downer after the previous episode which was really good.
This was the best episode so far. I like this series, hopefully it doesn't get cancelled as these techy shows often do. But this one really played on my heartstrings. I like this show the most when it dispenses with the background crap over copyrights and ownership and focuses on great stories such as this episode.
As a huge fan of Expedition Unknown I decided to watch a few episodes of this for some more Josh Gates goodness. Its definitely not as polished or planned as expedition Unknown, but I expected that being an older show I would hope they had improved since then. I have enjoyed the episodes so far, although I wish there was a bit more time spent explaining the legends or mythology and a little less blind blundering about in the dark blair witch style. I still would recommend this show if you enjoy Josh Gates or this style of show.
