Once again the most interesting part of this whole fucking show is the stuff that gets the least amount of time. I could not care less about the sitcom shtick and I wish they would stop ripping off other shows when it serves little purpose except to make this all ridiculous when it could've been so much better.
In the movie Far From Heaven, you get this practically picturesque town and home life of a housewife in Connecticut. It's gorgeous and full of colors and 50s/60s "retro", what have you. It looks so perfect and lovely yet hides all sorts of ugliness underneath the perfect veneer of "All American Dream". Imagine that kind of set up but with horror and mindfuckery and that could've been THIS FUCKING SHOW.
Each episode continues to disappoint.
Each episode shows me how this would have been better served in a binge-watch (if they ever fucking do anything with the reveal).
Each episode annoys me with a pointless, obnoxious laugh track.
And each episode has me not giving a single damn about this couple or buying into any of their "chemistry" or love. This relationship was developed completely offscreen, and now I'm just supposed to believe they are some shining example of True Love because Marvel clearly wants Young Avengers? Nope. Not happening. I demand better writing and pacing, thank you.
Olsen and Bettany are very talented and capable actors in other projects but here, I can't buy anything between them.
The pacing is just painful and not at all suspenseful. There's tension and then there's annoying the shit out of your audience. This show is the latter.
This show continues to be the epitome of "my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined".
This episode was so good, its the final confrontation between Mando and Moff Gideon to save Baby Yoda and wow what an episode it was, loss, betrayals, epic fight and the scene with the Armorer was so good! Plus he gets his jetpack and we learn his real name finally! Just too good!
Loved it. Binge watched over 2 days. It is relaxing and feel good. Truly loved it, and I do not binge watch...ever!
That last scene was fitting considering the last scene of S1 lol.
Here ends another amazing season! (Not as good as S1 but still!)
Jemma and Daisy tripping was so funny
Good, but not quite there, i think it could had a little more thought making this to fit what the viewer wants and expand the choices to not be a dead end and have to go back.
I think I'm gonna consider "Goodbye" to be my ending of the series.
I simply cannot stand the grandstanding cockfighting attitude of these rich arrogant douchebags anymore nor the increasingly tense music they play with every single scene. A third in this episode I got bored with the same type of scene after scene that I decided to watch it at 1.7 speed... though not nearly on chipmunk level it still didn't make me enjoy the episode nor the characters.
I might watch cause I'm a completionist (for the most part) and cause of the rare Lewis scene that makes it worth it, and maybe cause of Amanda Schull but damn.... If I wanted to see bitchfights every second I'd watch reality TV.
Great ending to the best season of hard sci-fi TV we've had in years. The show is only getting better, I'm sure its new home at Amazon will help make it more visible to wide audiences too.
This show is like a good wine!! Its just keep getting better and better.
Im glad Bobbie is ok
I hate the fact that we're going on a 4-week break now. We had to wait until goddamn December for this show to return and we still have to deal with a mid-season break? This is bullshit.
I loved this episode. It was so satisfying in so many ways. Kasius getting what he deserved (and holy shit, Jemma using that implant on him left me with my jaw hanging open! It was such a powerful moment!), humans taking control of the Lighthouse, Tess and Flint planning to rebuild the Earth... Season 5A was absolutely incredible and I think they tied up the space arc very nicely.
I legit thought Deke and Daisy were going to kiss (and I already began to roll my eyes at the predictability), but nope! Surprise! I loved how he said all those beautiful and profound things to her and then 5 seconds later they were back to bickering. I think I would've liked to see a little more of their relationship (it could've been such a good brOTP), but alas, Deke made a heroic sacrifice (and bitched about it 'till the very end, which was perfectly in character). I'll actually miss him. And my boy Enoch! I enjoyed him so much. Every word that came out of his mouth was gold. RIP, Plastic Man.
I swear, the writers are about to catch these hands for coming up with the idea of Coulson dying. It came out of nowhere and we saw no indication of it before this episode. I hate it! Leave him alone! The entire premise of the show was built around him coming back from the dead and now they want to try and kill him again? Seriously?
I liked that subtle dig Deke made at gun control. His reaction to firearms in general was hilarious.
Daisy Johnson, you beautiful, brave, selfless soul. Words cannot express how much I love this girl. I would protect her with my life (not that she needs it). I get why she wanted to stay in the future (and I don't even want to think what would've happened if she had - I mean, that future would get immediately erased if she weren't there to quake the world apart in 2018, right?), but I'm so glad Coulson knocked her out. We're not leaving anybody behind!
Yo-Yo being the Seer wasn't really surprising, it was actually one of the first theories that I thought of after last week. But the scenes between the two Elenas were absolutely heartbreaking. And Mack was so broken when he thought she was dead... I got super emotional.
I almost thought for a second that they were trying to set up a FitzSimmons conflict (which we've already been through 5 billion times, the entire season 2 was one giant FitzSimmons angst fest, I wish they would let them be happy), but maybe (hopefully) I was wrong. The shocked and disapproving look Jemma gave Fitz after he beheaded the Kree (which was totally sick and awesome, by the way) was what made me afraid for a hot minute, but then it was Jemma's idea to eject the other Kree into the vacuum of space, and it calmed me down a bit. Also, Fitz calling Jemma his fiancée made me smile. It sounds good coming out of his mouth.
So, that's it, then! Next episode we're back to normal (whatever the hell that means on this show) and the fight to save the world from destruction (and a Kree invasion, if I understood Kasius correctly) begins. I'm very excited! See you all in 4 weeks!
Of course the judge would be a nutjob. A hilarious nutjob, in the true spirit of what this show has got us used to.
Jason's "epiphany" moment was adorable, he's always so innocent and honest and oblivious, he's truly becoming my favourite character of the show. Chidi's test had me in tears due to so much laughter; I should know, as I completely relate to his struggle. Eleanor being the only one to successfully get the test right was unexpected, but at the same time it was an obvious way to show us how much her character has grown since the superficial blonde from the beginning of the show. Bad Good Janet is one of the most precious things about this show, as it manages to crunch in a single character the adorable naivety of Good Janet with the hilarious sarcasm of the Bad Janet. I wish we'd get more of her.
The Good Place started out as just another comedy show, but it has since acquired some impressive morality and ethical features while still managing to be a comedy show. If there has ever been a show that has genuinely "grown" (whatever that means) it's this one.
This episode destroyed me and the two next are ep. 99 and ep. 100.
We have a month to get ready for whats to come.
Wow! That was epic! Another great scenario where our team is on the verge of death, adrenaline pumping up everywhere! Great perf from Kassius, becoming more and more villainous than ever. Man I like this show very much!
Wow, great end to the great 2nd season. Don’t know if a TV moment will be greater this year than seeing Ted Danson working as a bartender once again on television.
