Oh wow. Would‘ve loved to have seen that on a big cinema screen, insane visuals and that soundtrack?! That last episode, Yen? Legend! This would have been an easy 9 if they had worked a bit harder on the script itself. Still so fun to watch!
Seu Jorge was the best thing about this movie, I now need him to sit around and sing in every other Wes Anderson film.
What first felt like a sweet Wes Anderson style film took a very dark turn, wow. Enjoyed seeing Adam Brody again though.
God I hate Tom Cruise. Jamie Foxx and Mark Ruffalo were top notch though.
No need to watch this twice, the story itself was average but still a good laugh whenever you’re in need of watching something easy-going.
How amusingly true the essence of the internet is shown in a simple animated way, can’t remember any other film I genuinely laughed so much. Loved how Ralph and Vanellope sort of stand for the different generations of internet users and the way the princesses take the piss out of basically every fairytale there ever was (and Disney it self) is genius, could definitely watch tons more of that.
And: The Post Credit Rick Roll, well played Disney, well played!
This was very sweet and…
BEN MCKENZIE??????? 10/10 for that
Wasn’t sure what to think about it at first - still lots of loose ends and characters and bits that make you wonder why they were implemented in the first place. Not really sure what the gore was for, felt like it led nowhere in the end and in my opinion absolutely unnecessary for telling the story that was being told. Seeing all the layers and characters unfold and intertwine was unusual for a German production, Karoline Herfurth amazing as always and insanely good psychopathing by Alexander Fehling. Loved the Berlin vibe and the club scenes though. I really enjoyed the slow pace but the end felt a bit too rushed, 10 episodes might’ve been the sweet spot here. Still way better than expected, glad I finally watched it. Just a shame they weren’t able to tie everything together in the end.
Honestly just decided to watch this film because of Riz Ahmed, who I’d even watch in a 119 minute commercial and still be content. Sadly even he wasn’t at his best, just like Luke Wilson, who I was really happy to unexpectedly see. Interesting idea that, combined with the entire mood and style, almost felt a little bit like a Lanthimus-Anderson crossover. Almost. It lacked a little bit (too much) of everything, weak story that wasn’t really able to carry the idea across just right, weak chemistry, weak setting. Would’ve loved a bit more detail and depth which is why in the end, despite the really slow pace, all felt a bit rushed and unnatural. I missed feeling like being in the story with them rather than just watching two actors act a screenplay they’ve been practicing.
Loved Barry and the ending scene was beautiful and definitely scored an extra point.
This could’ve been sweet if there weren’t the weird PTSDy imagination scenes
Pretty average but it felt so good to see the rom com actors I grew up with back in something new. Also can’t go wrong with Jesse Williams.
This film gave me a headache but I just couldn’t stop looking at Ana de Armas.
I mean I could watch a jacked and topless Jake Gyllenhaal forever don’t get me wrong - but what on earth happened in the water, did Michael Bay take over from there?!
The kids made up for everything the adults lacked in. Awful acting by Til Schweiger, weak dialogues and over the top stereotypes - Emilios performance carried the entire film, well fucking done.
That literally is the most creepy baby ever.
cool visuals but apart from that.. fair?!
Took me an hour to figure out that Hugh Grant is talking like Rick Gervais, might take forever to figure out why though
Impressively crap performance by literally anyone but Frederick. Carried the entire film at an age that young, incredibly talented.
The only reason I started and kept watching was Jamie Dornan - and then they killed him off first! Now I want some of that honey.
Sadly made me cringe wayy to often..
Well it was okay to watch during dinner so at least someone would keep me company
The fuck did I just watch? I get the idea they tried to sell here but… why? Tried way too hard there. Swan Song made almost the exact idea way more enjoyable to watch by keeping it down to what really matters. Nice to see Paul Mescal again though.
Well yeah she lied and used basically anyone to get a job in a shitty cutthroat business, that’s it. And how disrespectful can you be not even having the decency to wait 5 minutes for a clearly important game to end? This was just annoying.
3 stars but only for will smith, the music and margot robbie.
Never ever (apart from Twilight - ha ha) have I quit a film or an episode early. This absolute bullshit made me quit not only this episode but Black Mirror for good. It’s a shame what a once mindblowing series ended up in. What a waste of an evening.
That was.. impressively bad. Wow.
This may sound weird but I loved the rainy end credits. Like, loved.
Fuck me no way I’d ever be in a relationship with a person who calls these people her friends, disgusting af. Poor Gordon.
What the f I can’t read shit on that phone screen why are there no subtitles?!?!
