Wasn’t sure what to think about it at first - still lots of loose ends and characters and bits that make you wonder why they were implemented in the first place. Not really sure what the gore was for, felt like it led nowhere in the end and in my opinion absolutely unnecessary for telling the story that was being told. Seeing all the layers and characters unfold and intertwine was unusual for a German production, Karoline Herfurth amazing as always and insanely good psychopathing by Alexander Fehling. Loved the Berlin vibe and the club scenes though. I really enjoyed the slow pace but the end felt a bit too rushed, 10 episodes might’ve been the sweet spot here. Still way better than expected, glad I finally watched it. Just a shame they weren’t able to tie everything together in the end.

Took me a bit to get used to the way the BW was graded, felt somehow off at first, it didn’t feel as familiar as old BW films for some reason, which took me a few episodes to get over.

I have not seen any other Ripley portrayal and purely watched it for Andrew Scott, who, no surprise, did an incredible job. Loved the vibe, the pace, the atmosphere. Some bits of the story felt a bit too far fetched, glad they at least decided to reveal at the very end what I had a hard time believing throughout the entire second half no one found out earlier. But then, maybe he really was just that stupidly lucky despite his carelessness. Kinda fits in with the wonderful dark humour bits in between.

The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin

To my surprise, I enjoyed that very much.

Feels like an attempt to remake crime scene cleaner which wasn’t really possible in the UK and will never be possible again in Germany, not without Bjarne Mädel. Okay for a light watch but not more unfortunately. Nice to see Moritz Bleibtreu again though.

That dymanic between Antonia Roberts and Craig Thomas, so beautiful! Enjoyed every single episode of it.

The Continental: From the World of John Wick

Oh wow. Would‘ve loved to have seen that on a big cinema screen, insane visuals and that soundtrack?! That last episode, Yen? Legend! This would have been an easy 9 if they had worked a bit harder on the script itself. Still so fun to watch!
