When I saw the similarities with Astro Boy I was a bit disappointed but made sense into the homage
Two seasons past, the prelude finished, now I'm expecting really hard to see Discovery start on season 3. Season 1 was epic, it could be a good movie. Season 2 was more interesting, but with a too long arc, and the Enterprise to shadow things. I didn't like the plot, the AI vilan, the resolution. If the war on the first season had finish quickly, this end of a Borg-ish devil on the second was also too easy. Same mistakes. I will be expecting more changes for the third season, for the good ones, please. Everybody know Michel Burnhan very well, we can now move on beyond from that, and see a Star Trek show, focused on a alien capitan, Saru is a good choice. But I think this is not gonna happen.
Just now, mid-season, they're doing good, the first two episodes like JJ movies, with lens flares included, they could be independent. Next 7 ep. into Discovery were more like a real ST I remembered, sort of. They included all things possibles to please fans, trekkers and minorities, all covered. I agreed with the release weekly, better to understand each episode. A lot of arcs, lot of possibilities, lot of ways to do it, this could be a 9/10 season, for now 7/10 works while I am waiting for more discoveries.
Replace [Totally ninja!] by [Magic!] make my day. Awesome.
Fish could win an Emmy, but Forks is a better episode, a journey off the chaos, not into it
Forks is absolutely amazing. Incredible. Fish is good, chaotic good. And the season finale very good, how not to care about them? Waiting to enjoy more chaos next season

Okay, this is a very lazy episode, very strange. Love the new effects. The new suit of Isaac shines in every take. But, it's good, no definitely not good.

Taking-off-the-glasses-scene was ridiculous and classic too. It was funny to see the awkwardness to pretend surprised.
The first half of this season was a really mess. But episode 14 and beyond it's like a new whole show, good, really good. if it stays to the end, it will be a very good season despite the terrible start.
You have to say "Thank you" to the people you work, to family, everyday and in every situation: lesson learned in this episode, after it was repeated a lot thru the entire 40 minutes.

I watched just after the episode finale, and change my perception of the series or miniseries. That's what is made for, some behind the camera images, and explainations about the plot to you think there are no holes.
After Superman & Lois, Invincible, I'm not sure one more show about the same things will be necessary. But the flashbacks are great.
