The movie is just average from the very start to the very end. It looks as any other typical generic Hollywood movie with a typical monster, just added a pinch of Norway mythology with the troll.
Nothing much more to say about this movie, probably except the fact that stupid liberal Netflix propaganda reached Norway as well, as we can see. The premier minister of Norway is a strong independent woman, the best computer hacker in the world is a strong independent woman, and the main protagonist is also a a strong independent woman. Thank god they didn't make her father a total asshole, as they like to do nowadays, and he's actually a nice man. Otherwise yeah, the most important men of the country called the science girl to consult (of course) and she says right away to them - are you going to act or keep sitting on your asses? Like she's the boss and they're a bunch of wussies. Same with the hacker girl. She breaks into country's security system like it's nothing and punches the hell out of the panicking man with one blow. Moments like this are just stupid.
I'm really picking up what this show is putting down with its critique of the workplace, the erosion of the work/life balance and the effects it has on our mental health. All that packaged up in a near-future science fiction concept/mystery package is just delightful. Great great stuff. Hope it doesn't get slept on due to it being on Apple TV.
