a true celebration that stopped the whole country
A good-hearted and surreal work of imagination. Great writing and nuanced characters. The audience was laughing throughout and it managed to be touching without being cheesy.
One of the best science fiction movie, the story is great and full of possible science facts, the actors are really convincing, the direction is perfect. If you are a science fiction lover, this movie is a must.
It was everything they said it would be and then some! Supreme spectacle with otherworldly intensity. Fan first was an experience I’ll never forget. A film for the ages. Long live the fighters!
Just like Priscilla…. I too felt trapped at Graceland. Inside this boring movie. The score is terrible. The story feels so empty and just jumps from scene to scene from their relationship. It also rushes an ending in a movie that dragged on and on. Cailee Spaeny was good and that’s about it.i hate when biopics on artist do movies with out the artists music in it.
The story of Priscilla and Elvis. We all know it…. But this movie kind of sucked…. There is absolutely no emotion between Elvis and Priscilla…. You can see them acting and badly. Also the height difference, wow! Too profound…I know it was there to prove a point but it goes into creepy…. And the courtship in the beginning really did have creepy vibes. I think this movie does not represent accurately…. No Elvis music…. Ok this pales in comparison to the Elvis movie of Baz…. Disappointed…
An unnecessary and well made epilogue for one of the best characters from Breaking Bad. Aaron Paul is great and I loved getting more time with Jesse Pinkman and some of the other characters.
donald glover's voice is heavenly
You have to admire Noé for the way he just fucks with conventions as he pleases and stages lengthy camera rides just for the fun of it. The film sets up a huge cast of dancers pulling off some crazy vogue shit and lets them slowly but surely decend into a feverish hell. I was not without doubts while watching this( and he does let his bad boy hang out) but I ended up just enjoy the hypnotic ride. It's definitly nothing substantial but a big step up from "LOVE".
I felt such a complicated array of feelings while watching this. I was wracked with guilt about my relationship with my parents. I was ashamed of times I didn’t stand up for myself growing up. I was embarrassed with her and for her and for myself. This movie is a true achievement in capturing the mood of being that age, I related to it completely to my core. I was instantly transported back 20 years and it felt so much like my experience regardless of the cultural touchstones and how new the Internet was when I was in 8th grade. It should be required viewing for every parent of a tween.
Go in with no expectations, except that it is a slow-paced simple story, told in an epic fashion with wonderful cinematography and understated acting.
It got under my skin like few movies do, a story about class, jealousy, ego, desire, dreams, etc. Best movie of the year, possibly.
I'm in tears. One of the most moving and powerful movies I've ever seen. Many people don't understand this film because of the slow pace. But the patience watchers will be rewarded with a touching story.
I last saw the first-made three films about ten years ago, and still enjoyed them. This film is far superior to the three films that were last made, but is still an uncomfortable ball of prejudice and xenophobia. The blu-ray actually subtitles some dialogue as spoken by "ALIEN". Well...who's an alien in all this, then? Isn't that a note on the bars that definitely should not be in-place? Drab.
In total, the film bored me. Could be that Star Wars isn't in me any more, or that I'm too alienated by it.
hmmmmm another episode of Girls
Surprisingly really good! Much love for Natalia Tena
