Only after the episode ended did I have time to stop and have the realization that there were no cuts once you were in the restaurant.
my anxiety was THROUGH THE FUCKING ROOF
How is Rue gonna catch no consequences from losing that suitcase of drugs? They better answer this in season 3
"It's just a flying saucer, Ed. We gotta go." lol, Peggy kills me.
All one shot. Very well done. Dynamic, stressful and brilliant. The planning and rehearsing had to have been off the charts stellar.
How did Ruby go from being a shallow mean b... to being someone who deserves better? Now THAT'S character development.
And Blur closing the episode. Ugh. chef kiss
the season finale was a bit less cringy and a bit darker than usual...anyways I'm still looking forward to the prequel spinoff Greg the Egg, the origin story of a little Machiavellian fuck
homegirl was really 'bout to jump from one boat to another while wearing high heels :skull::skull::skull:
will poulter, the man you are
I'm still annoyed at Otis's behavior throughout the season, but his voicemail to Maeve was actually really sweet and what Isaac did at the end was a total dick move. Tbh given that Netflix has been canceling their shows left and right, the producers are putting a lot of faith in them with that cliffhanger ending. Nothing has really been resolved in a satisfying way, so if we don't get a season 3 it's gonna be awfully disappointing.
Also, Maeve's mom is literally the worst ever. Fuck her. I'll miss seeing Maeve with Elsie too, they had such a cute relationship.
You know what…. Fuck maeve…… I want ruby to be happy and with Otis ….. it’s probably not gonna happen tho
Otis is seriously pissing me off this season. Back in season 1 he was, for the most part, "compellingly odd" as Maeve once said. This season, however, he's been doing nothing but antagonizing everyone around him from his mother to Jakob to Ola to Maeve and it's annoying as hell. The speech he made in this episode was just a bunch of self-righteous bullshit. I've been shipping him with Maeve from the start, but tbh now I think Maeve deserves better than this entitled little shit.
guest stars tab on this page is INSANE
What the flying fuck just happened?
i wanted to see more of maddy beating the shit out of cassie, not elliot singing
The first episode was exciting (after half an hour), this one was slow, a bit boring and predictable (everyone will return). Nice introduction to the characters, but slow. Hope it gets better once they returned to the playground.
Brilliant season. Oh, and Bark Wahlberg :joy:.
I knew that at one time or another I would start to hate this Isaac for real.
I really liked how they managed Isaac's "confession": multi-layered characters who may act shitty in the heat of the moment, but not for its own sake or - worse - just for complicating the plot and getting it one, are some of the best in creating a believable and complex framework for the story (even and especially if they're secondary ones).
Same - and even more - goes for Adam and his development.
Even if Otis and Maeve are THE couple, I kind of like the relationship with Ruby evolving and not being just a filler.
I have been destroyed emotionally and I don't know if I'll ever recover
everything that happened with ashtray in this episode was horrible writing. absolutely awful.
This is truly a well put show. And one where there is no forced sexuality or race or gender. Everything feels pretty natural and real life-like. I have liked characters that if they were "forced" in other setting (which is something that Netflix specially tends to do), they would probably won't work for me. Eric still keeps being amazing and his relation with Otis feels very genuine (although i think he wasn't in his best behaviour this season). Adam's character keeps developing even more, and the actor was able to really capture this evolution (from a "no-emotion" bulk bully to a guy that feels confident enough to say "i'm pretty"). I think the next season should be the last one before it gets stretch too much. This end-season wasn't bad at all if it were a finale, but i really wouldn't mind to see a new one. The story is so wide that keeps you hooked enough to want more. Cheers to Netflix for this one
I was very nervous to watch this last episode because I feared they would force Otis and Maeve together the last minute. I'm glad they didn't.
I just hope they don't ruin it next season and make some silly excuses for them to break up with their current partners so they can end up together. They have a good thing going with the relationships they've been building during this whole season and, even though they might like each other, doesn't mean they are right for each other yet.
I hope Remy gets a real daddy soon. He seems like a great kid!
Probably my favourite episode of television this year. Brilliant stuff right here, those 20 minutes flew by.
Nathan Fielder must be stopped
