sigh Yet another good show canceled. This one didn't even get to finish out its entire first season. Not sure if, when or where I'll be able to find the final 4 episodes of season 1 as only 6 have been made available so far.
This was a bit of a mash-up of "Wisdom of the Crowd" and "Person of Interest". But it was still enjoyable. I would have loved to have gone along for the ride to see where it would take us.
UPDATE:
Got to see the remaining episodes of season 1. Very glad they released them. It wrapped up the storyline very nicely, but also left it open for the story to continue - which we already know it will not.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
Better than expected, with the occasional funny moment. It could have been better though, as the obvious script could have been written by an A.I. infused algorithm.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL this was so funny!!!!!!!
I've gotta watch more movies with Chadwick Boseman. This movie was very good, but it was really him that drew me in.
Boseman is fast becoming one of the finest actors of this generation, and he brings to life one chapter of Marshall's career with aplomb. Credit to both men - a celebrated and accomplished lawyer, and the actor who plays him. A good film.
Just started watching this show and really enjoying it so far ain't seen much football atm but ain't noticed
Jexi is basically a long SNL sketch, taken way too far. It’s more like Her but for middle schoolers who giggle anytime they hear the word “penis” and think writing swear words = writing jokes.
Does this movie have:
An interesting and good script? No. It lacks any cleverness or originality, there’s nothing new and the joke “hey the phone swears and calls Phil names” goes on for the whole movie. Jexi is also very predictable, you’re always a mile ahead of it.
An understanding of technology or relationships? No. The movie tackles the “humans and technology” thing in the dumbest, most obvious way.
Entertaining leads with actual chemistry? No. I totally didn’t buy the relationship. Cate somehow fell in love with Phil, even though he was creepy and not charming. I think Adam Devine is good in Workaholics and The Righteous Gemstones but putting him as a lead is just not something that he can really carry.
Being Black in the U.S. during the first half of XX Century really sucked, specialty down south.
Horny no more Jexi's quote: "This is terrible… fake orgasm! fake orgasm! fake orgasm!"
It's been confirmed - no Season 2
I hope they don't cancel this show after a season. This is a good show. It has so much potential.
“It’s not really fires I’m after, Sam. It’s fire itself.”
- Thurgood Marshall
Excellent performances by Chadwick Boseman & Josh Gad.
