I was smiling the entire movie. The level of detail and care that went into this film is incredible. Tributes from the first game to the last mario game. Yes, it's a children's movie, yes, the screenplay is not a masterpiece and yes, you will like it more if you are fan of the games. But it's a fun ride from start to finish.
It's a B-Movie that knows its a B-Movie and is in on it through and through. If you're watching this movie for the campy atmosphere and corny jokes on top of the blood and guts, then you're in good company.
The film wins the award for "weirdest opening to a film". Ever.
Cast not diverse at all. we need a more inclusive cast. its 2022 for god’s sake.
Mostly just a pointless filler episode.
Looking at the cover art, let me take a guess at the story, shall we?
300 years after the events of the original 47 Ronin.
it is now 2002 and feminism have taken over what is now a no longer Feudal Japan.
The new 47 Ronin are mostly all women and lead by a woman who is angry some dude ate her sushi without her consent.
Hey I was right, online reviews says it's now 3 rival Samurai tribes:
all lead by women and composed of women Samurai.
What a steaming direct to video :_shit
Decent anime at the most. Fighting scenes were definitely eye-catching but there wasn't any proper closure to anything in the plot.
Too much happened too quickly and I couldn't get what was happening in the story.
At first there were normal humanly fights, then everyone started fighting with superpowers called "Charyeok", then suddenly god came out of nowhere with "MECHANICAL ROBOT" type of things and in the end the main character turns out to be a god (good one) himself!!!!???? . Well, animation of the fights were definitely awesome but I'm not a fan of "RED NOSES" though.
To sum it up, watch this if you don't give a f*** about the plot.
Vicious fun is right. The film is a little rough around the edges but it has a great sense of humour to balance its dark story. Has the potential to be a future cult classic so well worth a watch.
Another fine example of Netflix show that you do not want to see.
To begin with, he talks ALL the time.
Absolutely awesome, one of my favorites!
Not gonna lie, I expected this movie to be hot garbage; to be another boring fast food DC animated movie that I'd watch once and never think about again. Well, it kind of went like that, except for the part of it being "boring". It was actual quite entertaining. The 2nd half kind of loses its cool and just goes wild, but the first half is really solid. Its production values also aren't anything amazing, but that's expected from this 1h20min DCAU movies.
Also, this is not a Batman movie. There's barely any Batman in it, and Bruce is a secondary character.
Really underrated. Just watched the 4K Unrated. Uses like 90% practical effects and sets. Has some decent moments the FPS segment is cool. Gets a lot of hate but not as bad as I remember it being when it released. Original PG-13 rating probably hurt it. But it’s good for what it is and the time it released.
I don't understand why this has such a low rating. I thought it was a very touching story with good acting and a happy ending. Nothing special, but definitely not weak sauce. I give it an 8.
The commentary on this film is just as if not even more entertaining and informative than the movie itself. A ton of work went into getting this film lacking everything but the video footage, out the door and into VS fans' hands.
Nitty and gritty, portraying all the craziness and graffiti-covered NY had to offer.
One of the worst soundtracks in a movie in years and a shameful amount of slow-mo that stinks. That doesn’t mean this isn’t a watchable movie. It has some laughs, some decent action, and some fun ideas for a John wick type flick.
"Merry Christmas you green bitch!"
Better than Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Judging this purely on cheesy so bad it's good B-movie standards, you'll be very disappointed if you expect anything else. I'd say The Mean One relatively succeeds in the genre.
It's definitely fun; the bar scene, the kills and the third act are a blast. Lots of Easter eggs to compare with The Grinch. It's entertaining; the killer is present throughout and there's always something happening. Some funny moments but it needed more comedy. I'm satisfied with the angle they took with the story, actually. The kills and the gore (although ugly CGI) are decent. The acting is bad but not as bad as what I expected. Cindy Lou goes Laurie Strode and the Grinch acts like Art the Clown (saw afterwards that it's actually the same actor).
A bigger budget would have made this a Christmas horror classic for sure but it was still a decent watch.
For some, The Seventh Curse might be a bit weird and incoherent, but trust me...it's a hell of a lot of fun. Pure Chinese black magic goodness!!! ...and with the new 88 Films blu-ray release, you can't go wrong. Highly recommended!!!
If you enjoy mecha and babes with big breasts, then this has plenty of it; however, the plot is really out there... pilots have to be virgins.
Not a bad action flick, especially for a Thai movie. The story was good, albeit a bit prolonged, and the ending was a bit unexpected. Don't be misled by Scott Adkins' photo on the cover or the leading credits: this isn't a Scott Adkins film; he plays a bit part with one fight scene that may last a full 30 seconds. Overall, not a bad watch but kind of a melodramatic spin on an old story.
Good humor (but some is weird), good action scenes, and a plot that isn't too broken. Don't expect too much, and it's a fair way to spend 92 minutes.
