Severely overrated film. Aged horribly because of the way it was filmed, acting isn't great, the story is severely unrealistic and it's pretty darn boring to be honest.
I really don't see why this gets so much love.
Bob Odenkirk gets his John Wick moment (albeit lesser stakes) and it's pretty frigging awesome. The most fun film I've seen in a while. Also the best movie that Christopher Lloyd's been in in ages
The ratings for this episode are so high and I don't understand why.
It's okai/good, but it has so many flaws that nobody seem to mention and it annoyed me so much.
That bank was so unsafe, they opened the bank safe in no time without any problems.
Where are the camera's? Not even a camera inside the safe!
The professor didn't give a sign or what so ever, why did she run outside?
They had their masks off most of the time, why? Why take any risk?
I know the hostages were blindfolded, but more could have gone wrong.
I probably take everything way too serious...

Boy oh boy... what was I wrong when I wrote this comment.
This serie is a must watch! It will blow your mind.
I rate the entire serie a 9! It's that great.
Good but with have scored higher if the ending was better.
SPOILERS
The ending was a mess. Mother was killed but is alive. Woman had a purpose but we'll never know anything about it or her life. Girl opted for a life with brother, can she also create humans or will they just die out? What about the other robots?
Crap ending don’t waste your time. Just a rehashing of other movies you’ve already seen.
This must be the most millennial and useless crew ever assembled for a critical mission to "save humanity". Fortunately they will die one by one, and let Niko do her job.
If there's a 4th season, I won't bother. It's gotten too weird. Not as bad (yet) as Lost (which I quit watching), but fast on it's way.
So let me gets the right. They want to drop nuclear bombs on America, but they want to persuade people to help them by giving them US dollars. Where they going to spend that ???
It should have ended in season 3, now it is just a waste of time.
Why do they always leave the guns behind?? Makes no sense.
IMO not as good as the other "XYZ explained" shows but still interesting. I guess one of the issues is that it is US-focused and that some of the topics/details vary a bit depending on the country (though it might often still be surprisingly similar).
Too many cliches and way too many plot holes
They're stuck in a bunker , they can't call 911?
Being a complete idiot must have been part of the job description for people who wanted to take part in that mission.
I really hate the actors setup nowadays; so politically correct and so unrealistic. We need to have a Latino, Black, Asian, women, gays, etc. Just make an crew of logically apt people, not the 'representation' of your viewers or somekind of neutral political agenda. As if a movie portraiting the KKK would have any of forementioned diversities on their side of the fence 'to fulfill somekind of moral code'. Please Netflix stop doing this, most of your viewers are not dumb, linear or narrow-minded people.
I was really into this until the last 10 minutes or so when it went off the rails. It doesn't help that this has come so close on the heels of Netflix's* Nightflyers which is an extremely similar concept, but straight away the characters and storytelling here are better (but that's not a high bar to beat). This obviously doesn't have much of a budget, but the writing is fun enough to not make that a big issue.
Right now it's just a bit bizarre. That final moment was nonsense. Just as with Nightflyers, why send a crew of clearly emotionally unstable people on such an important mission? Staging a mutiny on the first day? Beyond ridiculous.
How many random people is Ben going to tell they had a calling & they understand it like it’s an everyday word? WTF!!!
How many time is Ben going to say lifeboat? We get it, it’s a fucking lifeboat.
omg now the computer has emotions too...
its an "organic" evolution says the machine :D
I hear nothing... put it on speakers... still nothing...
5 teenage mutants and the doctor talking much of the movie and in the end they fight, 2 years of waiting for this, the worst of the FOX mutant saga
This movie was painfully boring, and didn't contain a single likeable character. It was like watching a whiney CW teen drama. What wasn't boring, was borderline nonsensical.
Don't waste your time with this one, especially if you are a fan of the previous x-men movies.
Netflix really perfected the high budget yet low budget boring but just watchable action movie.
-Smart boy: We should try again with small objects, and then bacteria, plants..
-Hot girl: Nah, let's try it ourselves!
-Smart boy: Ok!
The power of boner is stronger than reason.
For those familiar with Reilly's books, this hits all the usual hallmarks of his work.
An early start to frenetic action. The classic ticking clock countdown to beat. A badass lead who just won't quit no matter the odds. And a nice smattering of humour and emotion throughout to complement it all.
Hopefully, this will convince Hollywood to take another look at his extensive series of work and finally get a movie adaptation of Ice Station and Seven Ancient Wonders in the works. To see some of those set pieces on the big screen would be truly epic. With Charlize Theron playing the role of Mother please.
I loved living vicariously through these people. I do wonder why this mission wasn't more in mainstream media tough. I mean Challenger was everywhere back then. But Netflix is pretty much the only mainstream platform I heard about this. Maybe it's just because I'm not in America.
Speaking of America tough I didn't really like how 'Americanized' and dramatized the show was. Wish it would have focused more on the mission itself. Maybe that's just me tough.
I love how damn easy it is for Billions to be stolen... moved... and then re-stolen. You have to wonder just how effective 2FA is? Maybe criminal types don’t use it :face_with_monocle:
