props to my boy Dylan G for holding that position for what seemed like an eternity!
Jesus Christ! I can’t remember to feel so tense watching a tv show episode as I felt here. Absolutely perfect. Can’t wait for season 2!!!!
That was such an incredibly sad but perfect and correct ending.
I don't understand people who didn't like the ending because their favorite character didn't win. After 4 seasons with these despicable characters did anyone expect the Roy kids to unite and defeat the bad guy with the power of love and friendship? It was never going to end that way.
The three siblings just could never get over their egos. They all proved, through the 4 seasons, that they’re basically useless and the only reason they were ever in the discussion to be CEO is because Logan was their father. They'd rather destroy everything than have only one of the trio take the upper hand. Shiv just could not let her brother have a win, even if it meant her losing as well. Perfectly summed up their whole family dynamic and the show as a whole.
The siblings are so entitled and self-absorbed they never saw Tom coming. They’ve never had to work for a damn thing. I don't like Tom, but it makes sense for someone like Tom, who worked his way from the ground up and earned himself the position he was in.
The scene with the siblings making that awful smoothie and them watching their dad reveal yet another side of himself was so nice among the insanity that came in between.
That penultimate shot with Shiv and Tom in the car was phenomenal. Complete shift in the power dynamic. After marrying him specifically because she thought he was weak enough to keep holding power over.
Kendall not winning every season. That’s rough.
Willa revamping Logan's apartment with a cow print couch.
In the end Conor was the only one to have any kind of a relationship with Logan, the other kids are never shown having moments with him like he did at the recorded dinner.
Greg translating the Swedish in real time is the smartest thing he’s ever done. Four seasons and I cannot for the life of me understand why he would put up with that. His uncle offered him $250mil to get away from the firm.
But the biggest thing for me coming out of this episode is Kendall’s son isn’t really his. It really came out of nowhere and seemed more like a fact than a rumor the way everyone reacted to it.
All in all, Succession stuck to the show’s core till the end. In a way it’s a predictable ending but because it’s television and we expect some twist where a cool character comes out on top we don’t expect the expected. The outcome is pretty much what you’d expect from all the characters knowing their faults
And with this, Paddy Considine won a Emmy. Another 10/10 episode, and keeps getting better. I cant believe it ends in 2 weeks.
"The Music Dance Experience is officially cancelled."
This is an excellent movie that has completely surpassed my expectations. It has lots of amazing action and great comedy and wonderful performances from all the actors involved. The movie reminds me of Kill Bill.
If you missed the after credits go back and watch them !
Seeing Nate finally get put in his place instead of people cowering to him made the wait worth it.
The most cinematographic episode so far, with great photography and music, which made it very intense and powerful in some parts; but unfortunately it has some quite unrealistic elements, like Sir Criston murdering a guest and just walking away...
Holy fuck. I have goosebumps. Might be the best episode of TV this year. Fucking amazing. Honestly, I can't blame Tom for what he did, he's taken so much shit from everyone, including his own wife.
the one eyed boy aged like +10years while the Rhaenyra's kids looked like they aged only 3years. the passage of time is so wildly different between characters, makes it feel so inconsistent
‘But it is not about me. I can’t lash out like some raging, entitled maniac. That’s a white man’s luxury’ - Stan Edgar -
I don't think it's too early to say that tonight's episode of SUCCESSION was literally one of the greatest in television history.
This show had no absolutely no right being as good as it was. What a fantastic surprise this has been.
Farewell Succession, there’s no doubt in my mind you’ll be remembered as one of the greatest TV shows of the modern era.
An unnecessary and well made epilogue for one of the best characters from Breaking Bad. Aaron Paul is great and I loved getting more time with Jesse Pinkman and some of the other characters.
This truly was the perfect goodbye indeed. Great mix of humor and emotion. Loved all the callbacks and the returning characters. I will miss this bunch of wackos and their shenanigans.
Not quite a "10" , but pretty darn close if you're looking for a fun actioner, where even some of the "bad" guys are kind of likeable, and the lead (Pitt's "Ladybug") is pretty much perfectly cast. Based on Kotaro Isaka's best selling novel, the film version does take some liberties with the characters as far as their ethnicities are concerned, as well as (IMO) the only glaring miscasting of the big bad which lacked believability, and caused me to briefly discard my suspension of disbelief, but overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, which I can wholeheartedly recommend. Hiroyuki Sanada is ALWAYS a welcome addition to pretty much any film he's ever been in, as is, of course, Miss Congeniality herself, Sandra Bullock, although she is used sparingly as "Ladybug's" handler.
The rest of the supporting cast, especially ("Kick-Ass" Himself) Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry are comically villainous counterpoints to Pitts charmingly successful but at times unlucky character, and, I liked the way the story intercut their backstories to tie their present situations all together. Again, if you're looking for Shakespeare, best catch another train, but if non stop comic mayhem is what you seek, grab a ticket, and take a ride on the this express train to chaos-town.
@Lazo - .....or, action-wise at least, a more gender mixed version of "Gunpowder Milkshake". ;-)
Hmmmm....,Will THIS be 2024's "Bullet Train?:

A light, bright and tight rom-com!
I didn't expect to love this so much. I kept my expectations pretty low for this because of its repackaged Groundhog Day premise. All of my reservations were blown away by this movie's sheer brilliance. It is fun, cheesy and heartfelt in the best ways possible. With the pandemic going on for months, this movie brought in an air of freshness.
Just go ahead and watch this utter delight of a movie. One of the best rom-coms in recent film. Definitely the best to come out this year.
"The amazing trio of fucked up brothers". For a moment, a very brief moment, I believed that they were really going to unite to "save" the company, but I realized that they would not last and never did. perpetuating these power games.
To Shiv and Roman with their affectionate moment realized that they are broken and Ken, unfortunately, was unable to realize that.
I felt like I was seeing my family come together and I had a huge blow to see that fight - especially with Kendall like that, falling off the building without having thrown himself.
And in the end, the succession went to the most unpredictable, but clear that it could and, perhaps, should be him. Tom finally got the Empire of the Roys without being a Roy.
End of season 10/10 Thank you, HBO.
Definitely one of the best season finales of the whole series.
Watching this show live has been such a special experience, Since I watched Breaking Bad and BCS years after they first debuted I was spoiled on most of the deaths via cultural osmosis. This death hit me incredibly hard, probably the most tragic death for me since Mike in BB or Adrianna in the Sopranos. For the entire episode I wasnt sure if Nacho was going to die, It seemed absurd to kill one of the series main characters in the 3rd episode of the season but I’m glad they did it. This episode was incredibly impactful and the send off to Nacho Varga was amazing. Rest In Peace king
Dude. The fucking cinematography man.
I feel like I’ve just been yelled at for 2 hours by Adam McKay. Yeah, it's on the nose and way too obvious, but still decently funny.
5.5/10
A++++ acting from Julia Garner
One one of the best performances on one of the best episodes of one of the best shows to ever exist
Hold up… this episode was fantastic! Can anyone deny this season is better than the first?
Damn, one of the best episodes in the entire series.
i was so freaking anxious the entire time whenever they showed fez's house & there's definitely something going down next week.........it's hurts that we're going to have to wait AN ENTIRE WEEK for that ughhhhh
Those mfs really got the social worker lady from Marriage Story to play a kingpin, I didn't see that one coming. Also Maude Apatow had more screentime in one episode than she had in the whole last season, so that's great as well!
