After 4 episodes: The visuals are unexpectedly beautiful but it suffers quite a lot from typical teen drama bs. But the fantasy world seemes interesting enough for me to keep watching.

Agree.. Too much teen drama. Could learn a thing or two from other fantasy series. I rated the season fair. Some good moments though, and I like the back story.
OK, so you want to tell me that the Russians went to invade Norway by using a giant armada consisting of hundreds of ships that are driven by bucket wheels for some reason. They also have landing crafs D-Day-style.. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???

@onlime Totally agree.Somebody watched Saving Private Ryan before making this episode. Fucking bucket wheel boats in the seas around Norway. Good luck with that.

Starts off pretty bad then all of a sudden you've been awake for 20 hours and binge watched the entire thing.
Persevere through those initial few bad episodes and you're in for a right treat.

Agree. First four to five episodes was a bit slow, then it really picked up. Done with the first two seasons during easter. Next up Wanaheda!!
Who would have guessed thst this would be one of my favorite shows atm.
I reckon if I went out and dug up my garden I would find more ancient garbage than they have found on this show.

Yes it does start a little bit slow but the characters carry a excellent realism to them that engages you into the story. Kate Winslet is incredible. Side Story with the daughter is tick the box culture which is the only let down otherwise this is a great TV series.
