Cowboy game of thrones. Great movie!
It's the new Downton Abbey but so so SOOOOO much better.
An adaptation of a Margaret Atwood book, written and co-produced by Sarah Poley, great cast - my expectations were high. These are my thought on watching the first episode: Sarah Gadon's acting is a little stilted and although the dialogue is good, it's staccato delivery can rob it of its wealth. The production design is rather sparse, accentuating the bleakness of the piece, but the potential is there for some great storytelling. I give it a cautious 6 (fair) out of 10, [Crime, Drama]
**Upon finishing, I am leaving my rating as 6 (fair) out of 10. The ending left questions unanswered (unless the title itself is the answer), so, as to storytelling, the satisfaction of a mystery was flawed. As this is based on a true story the themes carry the burden of the piece: the defilement of the powerless, and those bleak tones resound in delivery, setting and production. The acting was disappointing with the exception of Zachary Levi and Paul Gross. It's always good to hear from Margaret Atwood and Sarah Poley, but curiosity sustained me to persevere to the end and satisfaction was deferred.*
Absolutely awesome season finale, with a breathtaking 1 minute cliffhanger and plenty emotional moments.
So glad it’s getting a second season. I loved every minute of it.
i can't believe i cried over elizabeth and george. she sacrificed herself for valentine's hapiness. and george lost elizabeth, the only person he truly cared about
Very very very very weird
"my June?" :sob::sob::sob:oh my fucking god
wow - I’m last week’s comments I said I had faith they would blast us at the end. Bam!!!
The story is really interesting and I admire the original author but the show was kind of boring. At some points it had interesting kind of twists where you wanted to continue watching but otherwise it felt… flat somehow.
This show is absurd. Each episode is more preposterous than the one before it. If quality writing is important to you then skip this.
Better Call Billy
Goliath starts interesting but needs a firm cutting. There is too much unnecessary fluff. I love Billy Bob Thornton though. He really holds this series together, the other actors are fine but not more.
I was waiting with anticipation for this latest Netflix contribution to the Marvel universe, and SO wanted it to be good. Daredevil was superb (9), Jessica Jones started slow then pulled up to great (8), But Luke Cage never got out of the gate. It spent far too much time in narrative and scrimped on creating tension, suspense, and building relationships and producing action. It had all elements of success - the Marvel world to build on, a great black cast (with some serious potential sizzle), the identifiable microcosm of Harlem, even the availability of good jazz (which was used to epic failure as they imposed it on the scenes rather than weaving it into the story telling). Disappointed, I give the series a 5 (meh) out of 10, and I faithfully watched every episode, and re watched the ones through which I fell asleep.
I enjoyed watching, I don't regret it.
Brutally cliche, viciously formulaic and, ultimately, unforgivably phony.
This show could have been so much. It could have made a statement. I'm so disappointed, not gonna watch it again. The main protagonist is very brawny, timid perhaps. Common sense is totally missing. The philosophy is low brow. Doesn't inspire neither does it provide entertainment. 5/10.
Quite a dull show. Wasn't too entertained.
I used to like Cameron. Now she's just a douche.
VIVA EL ESPAÑOL, TRAKT.
Felt like reading a good book, the characters narrate their stories in 3rd person as if they're somewhere outside their lives
Wow, this was just as poor as the whole season. Worst season (series?) finale ever, probably. If only the pods would have been terminated, sealing the fate of humanity as they've already got their second chance... If the series would have been that brave, the finale would have been a good and catharctic experience after a very bad season. But no.
special effects budget for this episode was what, 12 cents? even the most entertaining moments can be ruined by fake looking growing trees or glowing hands
This comedy is great! Love it.
I like Bateman, but why does he always play in these kind of weak movies?
Even with him, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda and Kathryn Hahn (great comedy cast) this movie was mostly pretty boring and did not feel realistic.
It tried to achieve a mix between comedy and drama, but even while it did make me smile at some points it wasn't that funny and failed completely as a drama with the silly flat characters and plot.

What a waste of time watching this shows was.
mediocre ending, totally predictable. it was a nice ride but they have 0 potential for a season 2. if it DOES get renewed, i'd be disappointed tbh
I'm all in for these type of Disney movies but this was not one of the best. A bit bland and boring but nevertheless one family movie to enjoy. The ending was good.
Great atmosphere, okay performance from the good guys of the show (Misty is pretty awesome the whole time), good managing of relevant-to-our-times themes and hell of a superb soundtrack (especially in the first half of the season, kind of disappeared in the second half), but it's also so damn slow, lacks suspense, going always in a turtle pace with a damaged storytelling, corny dialogues and horrible, just horrible villains (actors as well as characters). Still better than the quite awful Jessica Jones. I'm devastated by the realization that the more edgy a marvel series strives to be the worst it is in reality while the somewhat conservative christian white man superhero is the better one of them all. Shame.
Oooh, what will the trailerpark people be up to now... Please let this be the last season and let everyone crash and burn in the last episode.. Shooting smurf was a great start (seriously.. 'smurf'?)
