Adam Sandler is phenomenal here. Seeing Howard failing over and over was unbearable... That last sequence got me speechless.
For a Steven Spielberg film starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks... Boring.
The visuals were great, but the screenplay...
Florence Pugh stole the show in every scene she was in, she gave indeed the best performance of the year. Every member of the cast does a stellar job and Greta Gerwig's script is marvelous and charming.
Seen it twice already and I have to say this is something truly special... The score, cinematography, and the sets are all breathtaking. A simple story with a great impact.
The murder scene alone was fantastic, but Taylor Russell? Wow, what an actress
Surprisingly good... Rebecca Ferguson's Rose the Hat might be the best part of this
The Grudge was so boring I almost fell asleep at the theater... The only thing who made me open my eyes was the sound of the weak jumpscares who kept showing up. I'm sure it'll remain one of the worst of 2020.
It's sad that after Can You Ever Forgive Me?, filmmaker Marielle Heller only came up with this.
An instant classic for me.
