After season 3 for me this show became forgettable, i loved it since the beggining, my second show that i ever watched (after supernatural) and i absolutelly loved it, the characteristics were awesome, but it lost all the magic when they introduced Frozen,..
This show started out being funny and different with Alan Tudyk being awesome as usual. Half way through season 2 and I'll stop watching this forever. The show turned into a man bashing show forgetting its about aliens. Really weird and not funny with the focus on the show being one that is not interesting, or different in this day and age. Unfortunately I'll be stopping this show for now unless I hear it go back to alien out of his world and humour.
Watch season one and then stop; this way the show wont be tarnished in your mind by the abhorent mess that is season 2.
season 2 is horrible by comparison. It goes all political commentary. an absolute bore.
After watching the whole first season*, I can sort of see the themes they tried to go for... but nothing solidifies, and there are no payoffs in the conclusion. This sort of undermines the whole story, since we are really just following a bunch of characters who are all just really bad people. Would have needed either likeable characters, or a story that actually is thought out.
*) It was a chore, I don't recommend it.
It makes me sad to think just how amazing season 1 was from start to finish, only for every other season of the show to be just okay or even bad at times.
It's different, maybe even different than what I was expecting if I was really expecting anything in particular at all. But I think this will be interesting to watch. Ultimately, I think a lot of people were too harsh with the trailer and jumped to exaggerated assumptions that weren't necessarily warranted, the way I see it, especially without watching it yet, and even then, I'm sure there will be people who strongly dislike it.
Definitely wasn't what I was expecting and took me a little while to get used to the rhythm. By the end of the episode though I could appreciate it. A refreshing way to depict the time period in a more accessible way and somewhat befitting of Emily's anti ideals.
I especially liked the carriage ride with death.
"My darling, you'll be the only Dickinson they talk about in 200 years..."
Really happy Carmelita is back.
Count Olaf is great but Carmelita steals every scene she's in.
Season 2 is planned to be released in 10 years. It will be called Netflix.
First 2 episodes are pretty bad, but you think it might be going somewhere so you hang in there.. and then it becomes a Climitard series about ending all petroleum thereby eliminating travel, transport etc. with ZERO ideas on how to replace said petroleum, transport etc.
Completely idiotic... power is out so everyone has literally tons of candles burning all at the same time - while watching TV and operating their computers with multiple monitors... I'll need to see if that will work in my house - candle powered computer, hmmm
The blind kid it annoying as hell and irrelevant to the entire story other than why they actually went to Paris.
BTW... I'm not spoiler alerting anyone.. I'm saving them from wasting their time.
1/10
what is going on in here:sob::sob::sob:
Total dorky cheese-fest, but that's the charm of this show (even if the acting is, and always was, B-list). Keep your expectations reasonable and you won't be disappointed. Nostalgia tv at its best.
After 20 years this is one nostalgic moment, that gave tears to my eyes. Full House was one of my fav familyTV series of the 90s. Bringing back full house after 30 years with same characters and same family coziness and values just leaves me speechless ...... I would fall in love with each and every episode of this TV series all over again ..... ....... LOVE FULL HOUSE .....
Much better episode, starting to get going now.
Doing my (3rd? 4th?) rewatch of Season 1 and if you're here it's cause you like Sorkin, so I won't say anything trying to convince disbelievers.
All I wanna say is I love this show for how much it packs into ~60 min. Sorkin is among a select few who can actually make shows that feel like you know the characters really well and feel like you're embedded in their worlds. Many shows can learn from that.
Okay I lied, I also wanna say that Sorkin can create action among dialogue under the genre of romance and drama better than anyone. This ep makes you feel like you're watching fight scenes in [the best action movie].
The opening scene was like ... WOW ...
looking forward to the next episodes!
I might be a minority here - but I’m enjoying it! Sure, it’s no way as good as The Boys. But I enjoy the slow pace and the depth of character building. I’m just hoping Netflix doesn’t cancel after this rough start.
Anthony Mackie is so BRILLIANT
So many questions:
Will V and Kev sell Alibi to a gentrifier or will Carl buy it? Will Tami and Lip have another baby? Will Mickey and Ian adopt a kid? Will Debbie go away with the psychopat?
Will they sell the Gallagher house? It was one of main topics of the entire season and it ended up so anticlimactic.
Did the writers really make Frank die of Covid? Seriously?
I cant describe in words how much I hated this.
This was a strong and intriguing start. Jonathan Tucker is always a terrific presence on screen so that helped elevate it for me, even if his character is still to be properly fleshed out. Some cool visuals and a nice mystery to unfold - I hope it maintains the momentum.
Follow the yellow brick black asphalt road.
Bad start, good middle, disappointing end. The first two episodes are all over the place and iffy but the next bunch is good. The last episode leaves you in an "okay, now what" kinda mood. There is a clear political bias which is kinda annoying as well.
Intense first episode, looking forward to more!
I declare, that baby is the greatest actor of our generation! Huzzah!
It started with a good storyline, I loved the idea but at the end I didn't like it. I hope there won't be a 2nd season.
The first season was good, but this second no way, episode 4 I felt a sleep and by episode 10 stopt watching.
