After watching Breaking Bad, I was extremely nervous to begin watching this show due to the lofty expectations I had created. Better Call Saul reached and exceeded those expectations. By the end of the show, I can confidently say that personally, it surpassed Breaking Bad to become my favourite show, period. The characters are flawed, real people who make choices that affect their lives in real ways and everything, down to the way every scene is written, performed and shot is just magnificent.
Breaking Bad is a phenomenal show which perfectly conveys how a series of compounding events can change the very core of a person. While I personally prefer Better Call Saul, which extends on my favourite aspects of this show (and my personal favourite characters), I wholeheartedly believe that this is one of the most important TV shows ever made, and is an absolute must-watch.
The best video game adaptation I have yet watched. It perfectly encapsulates the themes of the game and the power of love to prevail in even the most disastrous of circumstances.
