what a beautiful tribute and send off to callie, my heart is so heavy rn
Definitely the strongest episode so far.
The conversations in this show feel very authentic at times. In this episode especially the one on the roof between Winston and Nick about friends knowing you too well at times.
Love it when a quirky, funny show like this that has that reality grounding it.
anyone who came into this episode expecting closure fooled themselves, it was obvious that this was the ending if you were pay attention to the series - is an obvious ending, yes, but the only one which fits. There's no way to end a story like this, because there's no ending, remember "Life doesn't make narrative sense" and the show sticked to that. It's perfect and I feel that it's extremely personal for Rachel Bloom, this is her life statement and she made it into a gigantic, hyperbolic, slightly absurd and wonderful musical comedy series. This show is a journey and it's completely exhilarating to watch it. Thank you, Rachel Bloom - I started this without much pretense, but it made so much sense for me and what I needed right now.
WHITE JOSH FINALLY HAVE HIS SOLO AND IT WAS HOT AS HELL THANK YOU RACHEL BLOOM!!! AND I AM HAVING A HARD TIME TO FOCUS BECAUSE I WAS LOOKING BETWEEN VALENCIA AND WHITE JOSH AND I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE TO LOOK
From the moment this season started I knew they were going to bring Greg back! At times I thought it was wishful thinking because I loved the character and was sad when Santino left, but the more of episodes I watched, and recognized the theme of the season, the more convinced I got that it would be natural to bring him back at this point.
I couldn't have imagined that the return would be this way, and although I love Santino, I've loved Skylar longer and he just seems like the perfect choice for the recast. And the meta way they play the recast goes along perfectly with what the show has always done.
I'm still on that Rebecca/Greg train!
I lost it at "Becky, no...", and hadn't exactly recovered for the remainder of that storyline.
Jesus f**king Christ. Monumentally gut wrenching.
Besides a great episode, the soda can trick was also great! :)
This was a pretty bad first episode, but it was so cringy that I'm actually lowkey obsessed lol. There didn't need to be that much voiceover exposition and I HATE the trend of putting pop music in every single scene, like please just hire a composer instead of using your gen Z intern's Spotify playlist. I'm also not totally sold on the chemistry between the two leads. All that being said, if you are looking for a show to watch with your 13-year-old sister while you eat pizza and make snarky comments about the story, it's definitely a good choice.
I really enjoyed the contrasts in this episode in comparison to the first. Imagine the results of the first case if just one of them understood victimology a bit more...
The events in this episode made me angry for so many reasons. It illustrates perfectly why so many victims of sexual assault remain silent. There is no 'right' or 'common' way to react to this level of trauma...
Patrick Fabian has been consistently great since the start of the show, but really stepped up his game during this run of episodes, giving a peek at Howard's personal life and struggles.
This was truly heartbreaking…Worlds collide as Jimmy’s life morphs into Saul’s longterm burden. Seeing Howard be killed so swiftly was gut-wrenching. I particularly love the juxtaposition between Nacho’s heroic/final victory death and Howard’s tragic demise - Jimmy and Kim tarnished his reputation and his death will now cement his defamed legacy and undercut all the success his life and career had seen. Love how both death scenes feel very inevitable and using that fact to heighten the tension and bask in the moment of the scene. I can’t praise the BB/BCS team enough. Emphasized bravo to Patrick Fabian, putting on an award worthy performance all season long.
if I wasn't so dehydrated from being sick I would be crying rn
I enjoyed the subtlety in the scene between Mr Hardcastle and Anne. His energy was so hostile at the start of the conversation, no doubt thinking of what he'd heard about her and Ann, but then slowly as the conversation went on he was reminded of who she truly is and how it doesn't matter who she's kissing. She's a good person who tried to do right by his boy. And by the end he's in awe and thanking her.
None of this needed exposition, the show knows those paying attention will get it and doesn't hold the viewer's hand. Solid stuff.
I'm just saying I wouldn't mind having Howard make me artistic coffee for breakfast every morning.
Oh wow that immediate regret on Anne's face when she slept with Mariana.
I do love seeing Anne empowered in a business setting. She's been such an inspiration for me while progressing my career in a male dominated industry.
And in that moment, I swear we all were Lucius.
Blackbeard: "His words, though... They sounded polite, but they stung."
Stede: "Yeah... that's called 'passive aggression.' Pirates, they attack with force. The upper crust, they strike with cutting remarks disguised as politeness."
Blackbeard: "That's fսcking diabolical."
this is the gayest show I've ever seen and ITS AMAZING
Strong season opener showing us not everything was wrapped up as perfectly as we thought.
I shouted Anne's name out loud when she dared say she wasn't sure about her feelings for Ann. I really think she's fooling herself there!
Made me laugh when she asked why the staff were scared of her as she loaded a gun. Such a great character.
And that final moment with Mariana's look to the camera tells us what the focus will be this season. I'm here for the drama!
After almost three years, this is finally back! Still love its fast-paced, borderline screwball plotting, and hadn't realized how much I miss Suranne Jones' full-steam walk towards any obstacle in her character's path. I think I almost gasped along with the household staff at "Cheapstake", and the scene afterwards with her unconsciously scaring others while holding a gun is so funny.
What a wonderful finale. The absolute happiness and love in their eyes through the whole last section was so beautiful. The writing and portrayal of this relationship has been fantastic the whole way through. Bravo to all involved.
That final moment was the icing on the cake, showing their relationship as so healthy and realistic. With teasing and Miss Walker holding her own. So much love for all this.
Marina , know that you are perfect, flawless and the game was always yours. Não temos uma winner melhor.
A penultimate episode should really get you hyped up for the series finale. But save the cliffhanger, there's not much there to get excited for.
Kim Bodnia has one of the very best laughs on TV right now.
can't believe there are no other trakt comments saying the eve/helene scenes were Hot :(
This was so good back in season 1 and 2..Such a waste of a good show.. :(
Wasn't expecting this show to pull off a satisfying ending in the space of an episode but it did it.
Loved the reveal of that final loop and how they both realised what they needed to do. Also glad that they didn't take this in a romantic direction/conclusion. Yes the slept together once but it was just sex.
The latter section of the episode, with Alan and Nadia both resisting the help of the other. It reminds me of those intense friendships where there might be times when one pushes the other away. But they persist coz even though there is a bump now, you both know you're better with the other person in your life. If anything that's the message we should take away from this. If someone truly gives a shit, let them in. Coz it's rarer than you think...
