The most "pandemic" thing possible. Experimental and claustrophobic, with moments of laugh out loud funny and then "whoa....". Not what you expect.
I watched it because Pop Culture Happy Hour was so pleased with the makeup of the writer's room (Native Americans writing for Native American voices). And I was enjoying it...until it suddenly all changed. And it went from good to great. Watch the whole season - it's worth it. Michael Shur seems to have the magic.
So far, so good. 48 hours, but on an apocalyptic scale. I take that back - it's better, because Mobius is just as quick-witted as Loki, and the two of them are just the best buddy-cop duo ever.
Jean Smart is amazing. Great characters, superb writing and acting. Subverts stereotypes at every turn. Ava drives me crazy but she's broken, so she's supposed to.
Totally lost it at Holden's face when Amos brings aboard their new crewmate, laughing until my sides hurt!
Literally spit out my coffee when Tom talks to Georgia. This may be the funniest actors making fun of themselves scene I've ever seen.
Pros: Amos is everything we love about him: Badass, Brutal and Kind.
Cons: No Chrisjen
This is the movie that should have gotten Newman his Oscar.
