I think maybe the story was to get away from this being just an alien/monster movie....maybe :person_shrugging_tone5:♂

seems some missed the point...
her quest wasn't about the pizza. it was a dying woman whom before her death wanted to recapture some of the best moments of her life by revisiting the memories of her father taking her to the jazz club to hear him play piano and afterwards, taking her out for pizza...
