A fantastic, fresh take on the classic. Realistic and grounded to the point of satire when it comes to the government's response to the threat, but over-the-top horrific when it comes to Godzilla. The underdog human characters are likeable for once!
Surprisingly better than the original. This film is intense and no-nonsense in the best way, with good drama and amazing fighter jet action stunts.
