Loki (2021)
I have been a fan boi from day one of the marvel comics...
True God of Mischief...
I am gushing over episode one...
I would actually pay Disney for this series on its own...
So grab a seat.. An enjoy...
This one episode could have been a standalone film...sooooooo many easter eggs..so good infact i am gonna watch it again..to see what i missed..
People downvoting this like we know anything at all about the show.
Dont understand why rating shows/episodes before the release date is still a thing.
This is after watching the first two episodes:
This show is definitely in the running for most boring show 2021.
It is amazing though, post-apocalyptic scenes are hard to screw up with anything other than bad acting.
They managed to get decent actors, but the script is so bad, that it doesn't matter.
Its not even that the characters are bad, but honestly - all the stuff that could be interesting ( like crossing lake michigan )we only get told about.
I'll give it one more episode, but if the tune doesn't change hard, I guess that will be it for me.
literally cannot wait for this. hope it lives up to everyones expectations !
I like that the main role is played by a strong woman of colour, unlike the original typical white male.
And not your typical Hollywood svelte model either.
Production values feel a little lacking, hopefully that will improve beyond the pilot!
Ok someone has to say it, the goofy dancing, the serious faces, the music ... those title credits are the best of every episode ... I love them!
I loved the whole season, similar to The Eric Andre Show & Nathan For You.
I have seen season 1,2 and 3. But I can't get myself to continue. The series is beautifully made, it really is. But I just can't seem to get into the story.
Someone once told me, television is a flat circle. Every show we've ever watched or will watch, we're destined to watch over and over and over again. Watching this show, sometimes I'm convinced that the creators have lost their minds. But there are other times, I think I'm main-lining the secret truth of the universe.
Starting each episode with an upside-down NYC skyline seems a fitting way to look at almost an autopsy* of a relationship in decline and divorce, yet funny and thoughtful.
Unlike many others here I have never even heard of the movie with the same title. I found this accidentally through twitter and thought, "huh lesbians and I recognize some actresses so I guess I should watch it". But man, oh man!!! I did not expect to like it this much?? It actually has a good plot which is shocking to be quite honest! Also, people are complaining about it being woke because there are lesbians while so many TV shows have only straight people, and no one bats an eye. C'mon now, let us have one show with lesbian leads! It's still extremely rare to find a show with so many lesbian characters and with lesbian protagonists...
Anyways, this show made me want to learn how to play baseball :^) Great A+++ show, funny as hell, emotional, and still manages to hit some relevant topics about racism, sexism, and homophobia. I truly hope it gets renewed for another season!!
Very, very funny series. Simple premise, good characters, this is gold.
This show is streets ahead.
Love and miss Futurama... I wish it would come back.
It’s very slow. They could’ve done a better job with the pacing. Faster to read about happened than sit through this documentary. I’ll give it a shot for 1 more episode but doubt this will have high ratings.
Toni Collette AND Merritt Wever!! Two talented actresses, this should be a great show.
Let me tell you why this show deserves a 9 and secretly occupies a 10 in my heart. WRITING! My god is it sometimes so hard to find such an explicit voice that's both funny and endearing to accompany a setting that ties all of the cast together. I've let this show sit in my queue so that I have both the time to focus and transport myself into its world and catch every line, but also because I don't want it to end. Whenever I manage to watch the behind the scenes or discussions of the process, my sinking suspicion behind most of my favorite shows is that the cast starts to feel like a family. That unspoken bond is something that I believe translates independent of anything deliberately crafted in service to the voice of the show. The last time I talked about family like that was with regard to Firefly. I want to be lost in space with them just as much as I want to help kick the shit out of some degens.
I began watching this show and before I had even noticed, I had watched four episodes in a row! I love it when shows do that to you; when they just grab you and won't let go and, hoo-boy, this one definitely does that!
The script of course is good - as is most everything else except for Owen and the cheesy saxophone score. It’s unfortunate that so many modern film noirs are caricatures of the old films.
As for Clivey-boy, I’ve suspected that he’s not a very good actor and this show has confirmed it. He delivers Spade’s one liners in a clumsy unnatural fashion. Fortunately he’s not as horrible as Liam.
It's one of the best Netflix series, it's a shame they canceled it, I liked it.
I liked this show way more than I expected to. Entertaining in every way.
Went through this so fast only to discover it's over - devastated. How can something this good end? Everyone else has already mentioned why - but I'll just say it has made me both laugh and cry quite a lot, and the comment that it's just "another teen drama" is unfounded. Sorry, i dont think you know what you are talking about - I've seen enough of those and I've seen this. Also the cultural importance of it cannot be overstated. Hope more people watch it
"... Shitass"
I love how big of a heart this show has! Deceptively simple tales of love, friendship, and community, with the right amount of Waititi nonsense/absurdism sprinkled here and there.
What an absolutely wonderful show. Beautiful, hopeful, heartbreaking. Love those kids.
Godless is a Western series that is better than I initially thought it would be. The series is full of intense gun battles and action scenes that will have keep you engaged. The story is well-written and expertly crafted, with each episode building upon the last to create a truly immersive experience. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional, with each actor delivering a standout performance. The cinematography is excellent, capturing the style and brutality of the Old West.
If you're a fan of Western genre, please do yourself a favor and watch this limited series. This is one of the best western TV shows I've watched, you'll be rewarded for watching this.
Come for the action, stay for the drama. This is mostly a drama, a slow burn series but you will find yourself starting the next episode as soon as the current one ends (I binged all 13 episodes in 2 sittings). When it does get to the action, it doesn't disappoint.
I Really wanted to Enjoy this show however when the best 2 episodes of your 7 episode series are actually episodes of the Mandalorian you have problems.
The best part of this for me was The Escape from the Sarlacc pit and his recovery and "redemption" with the Tuskens
Ultimately a middle of the road series and I was in no hurry to finish watching it. Hopefully Obi Wan will learn from this and be a more cohesive series when it arrives.
Acting, sets, script and score all good. Even the dialogue is not bad. I have a weak spot for whodunits and movies taking place in snowy locations so that also helps. It’s true that the show is a little pretentious at times and cheesy at other times but for the most part it is quite good and way over average IMO. Only the first two episodes have come out so far so that’s all I’ve seen. Hopefully won’t go downhill…
