Blimey, I went in with already low expectations, but "The Rings of Power" falls short of even those & is a train wreck.
It will take an entire day to point out all of the flaws in this abomination. I'm done.
Bezos & Amazon squandered a billion dollars on this mess.
First two episodes were campy yet enjoyable. Third episode just jumped the shark...smh. so bad so very bad
I always thought I couldn't enjoy any movie /tv series where female characters are protagonist's. [Cough] She- Hulk [/cough] and thought something is wrong with me for not being able to enjoy stuff with women lead. Now I know there is nothing wrong with me , its just that I look for quality content.
Mizu and akemi are the best written character I have seen in a long time. Now we know how to write a strong female characters without insulting male characters.
This show serves as yet another reflection of television and movies made in 2022 without feeling like middle earth at all. Years from now we will look back and laugh at how pathetic woke movies and television shows where when we noticed we always had great movies with characters of all backgrounds and gender identities without having to smother people with it. I'd even argue shows like these are going to be seen as pandering and destructive in the near future.

It will take billion dollar failures like this for the tide to turn on wokeness.
More woke, less quality story telling. They are trying to hard to appeal to the few. Boys is better.
Looking forward to this, especially as Sam Elliott is in it. Owner of the best western moustache ever! He brings a great presence to anything he's in. Isabel May, excellent as narrator, looks remarkably like a cross between Jenifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman! A future star in the making.

Do yourself a favor, read the wonderful world Tolkien left behind instead. Many interesting stories and lore Tolkien left for us, only to be forgotten.
[Netflix] As subtle as a reggaeton song. A road-movie that does not move from the same place, stretching the excesses with unnecessary flashbacks, determined to construct supposedly impressive dialogues that are actually road bar phrases. It offers a message of denunciation that is lost between tits and buttocks, a cynicism that claims the empowerment of women while it brings her to her knees.
4 episodes in and I'm still unsure if I like it or not. It moves along at snail's pace. Bass Reeves doesn't believe in wasting time talking, so he doesn't say a whole lot.
Update: Watched episode 5 and that's me done... can't take it anymore

MODERATION EDIT: Be respectful.
I'm not feelin it. From the opening scene where the girl discovers her superpower via her period to the bulimic shrinking girl the show has all the creativity of a bologna sandwich. Forcing current teen issues into storylines to make it seem relevant and topical. The same as "The Boys" and "Supergirl" went. Television writers who force pablum on viewers like this should have been left on the Picket lines and Studios should have hired more intelligent and less sensitive, less emotional and less fragile writers. It's a wonder they can get any writing done at all since I would imagine they rarely leave their apartments and spend most of the time crying over "mean" people. I think that not every form of entertainment needs to be a lesson to society and should not be a form of social justice. They are just perpetuating the stereotypes of the depressed, anxiety ridden teen and the cruel, cruel world they think they live in.
A lot of technology and the first movies are a lot better of the new ones
Loved Faith and Tim here.
Elsa was almost insufferable to be the main focus. Got tired of her melodramatic monologues every 10 minutes and the way she immediately folds to any man after just a few compliments about her looks.
ATTENTION
This is a porn show ( literally and metaphorically ) and not a Sci-fi one.
You 've been warned!
