I only learned this show existed this year after hearing about Netflix picking up Lucifer.
A couple of months ago I decided to give it a try after having nothing else to watch and I was hooked. Was really mystified as to how this show got cancelled so soon. I could see how eventually the "rinse and repeat" nature of the series could have weighed it down but there was still a lot of things they could have covered.
That was one of the most appealing aspects of the series to me. There were a lot of great moments in history they could have gone to and explored the "lesser known heroes" type stuff that they did.
I'm glad they at least got a chance to finalize the series properly, though and gave us all an ending rather that just a cliffhanger.
I actually liked this better than the original in some respects (especially the fact that it wasn't set in High School). Still, as many others pointed out, the continued references to politics was off putting. Still, I'll continue to watch it because it's interesting enough. I hope the plot doesn't go down the route of the original series, though, since I like this new take a lot more.
Great show when it came out. Not a 10 for me because of one of the seasons I didn't particularly care for but overall extremely solid.
After the conclusion of season 4, I don't know if I'll make it through season 5 once it's out.
I have to say that the show really picked up for me around mid-season 3 although I liked it before then. It's always been so unexpectedly dark and I really grew to like most of the characters. I just don't know if their justification for the season 4 finale is something I can get behind.
That being said, I know I'll be watching and waiting until I watch a few episodes of season 5 before writing it off. Maybe the writers/producers/etc can prove me wrong.
This show was definitely what I expected when I first started to watch it. It was so much better. I've never had a show simultaneously make me laugh and hit me right in the feels. I still think about a lot of the episodes and just how accurately they depict some of the hardest subjects that we humans sometimes have to tackle with.
One of the best Netflix shows I've ever watched and I recommend it to just about anyone I meet. Can't wait for future seasons.
Still one of my favorite shows, I binge watch it at least once a year when I need a campy/nerdy type TV show to bring a little humor into my life. I admit the premise gets a bit repetitive after a while, but the characters are always amazing. Really wish we could have had a "proper" ending. I personally dislike ambiguous endings although I understand why it might have been done. Still, I would have like the closure that comes after investing so much time into a series.
Anyway, even with all it's faults, it's still one of my top most loved series.
