"Going gay without meat" :joy:
Great episode, which is really lifted by the terrific and moving final conversation between Father Brown and Professor Milton; Mark Williams and Haydn Gwynne give brilliant performances.
Nice to see Dean Andrews (Ray from Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes) guest star. And what a great role he had.
The programmes as a whole are a nice light relief series to just sit back, reminisce and enjoy.
Loved the "in joke" from Robert Patrick. Something along the lines of "I don't give a **** about Sara Conner".
A bit disappointing... that the commissioner didn't get his ass handed to him. But other than that, it was a great ending.
Be patient b4 writing off this show! I almost stopped watching after three eps, and it has at least three levels of humour:
1. the very obvious, almost slapstick style.
2. darker, more British, slow burn style, that it took me a few episodes to tune into, underneath #1
3. more in your face, a combination of the above two, still kind of subtle, almost ironic commentary on small town life & discrimination- sexism, racism, classism, homophobia, heteronormality and probably more;...
cos I was busy writing it off for the level 1 humour, which is in itself perhaps a fourth level of humour - In small town Aussie life it is the crazy larger than life characters and attitudes that take up all the space.
Perhaps it tries to be too many things. work at too many levels, but it is rewarding at different levels too, if you give it a chance
The first 3 episodes are ridiculously painful. But if you can drag yourself through them and make it to the 4th episode, it improves significantly from there, and actually becomes an enjoyable show.
And the finishing was actually pretty good. I didn’t call it. And they even give hints of a setup for a second season, that I’m hoping actually comes.
Damn, Eleanor's death was unexpected
Jesus, within the first minute, had me like "Holy fricken crap!"
Bosch is a quiet show. Soundtracks can add a mood to tv shows, but when there's none it makes you focus your senses on the dialogue, bond with the characters and sync into the story being told.
[Maddie] Hey, shitbird. I got both. So take a walk while you can.
highlight of the episode.
I knew that bitch jade couldn’t be trusted
It's frightening how up to date a 20 Years old Episode can be... no Progress
ps. its pretty hard to follow this kinda stuff without personal feelings... so put that all away it was a really good episode.
The Legal System has failed... good last words for this one.
Very interesting episode with a number of setup events, the saddest ending ever.
This is definitely based on the Barbie and Ken killers
It's getting there, slowly but the team showed more teamship in this one and they aren't trying to copy too much from the other shows
NCIS: Sydney - :heart:x7
This is just as good or bad as any of the other NCIS shows. I enjoyed it. It's fun to see other locations and slightly different storylines aligned with another country and customs. Is it a great show? No. Is it watchable? Yes.
The Australian accent does take a bit of time to get used to.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
Not surprised to see the bigots out in force for this episode. Guess what, snowflakes, the writers, producers and actors in this episode don't want you watching. This show is not aimed at you, feel free to stop watching and go back to your YouTube masters.
Excellent episode that hopefully helps to educate bigots about the trans community and make them realize just how wrong they are. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. End of frakking discussion.
I enjoyed seeing an episode with this content. Inclusion for all.
If you think this series is "woke," you obviously didn't watch the original series.
Loved the fact that they went all out on the episode. This episode might anchor how future trans people should be seen.
This episode was absolutely freaking brilliant. I never saw that twist coming and the series had me perplexed the entirely too short run.
That singing scene was so sweet. (bittersweet)
Jere Burns was so good in Justified. I don't know why he only get a role like this.
Oho!
Spoilers -
I called it that Viktor was in fact a woman.
I had also started to suspect the right person somewhere through all of this. Feeling slightly accomplished. But only slightly.
Because I had NOT anticipated that last slap. It made some sense, I had an inkling it’s somewhat all about Imogene, because that angle has just been in the dark for the entire time, also something about Rufus leaving the first time around was still not entirely explained …
But this? Hmmmm…
Color me intrigued. This is one I’ll have to focus more on with the time jumps. We’ll see how my adhd handles that. It’s giving minority report now to find out what happened between the present and the future
