Jeez, another awful Northern Norwegian crime series (Following "Elven").
It has everything I'm looking for in a crime show; A cult, shitty family drama, historic unsolved murders (which can be great by itself {Unforgotten} or when balanced well {Bosch}) & way too many characters you couldn't care less about!
Forget Diane Kruger, Sofia Helin is the shit! #TeamSagaNorén
This is a highly addictive series, with some great cast, interesting storyline and even some humor. I also appreciate the character development of Saga. The writers did a tremendous job.
The Americanized version doesn't compare to the original. Subtitles are totally worth the effort -- well suited for viewing on a mobile device, something about a smaller screen makes the subtitle reading less of a distraction. Excellent!
I've just finished this series and honestly I haven't got enough good things to say about it. Undoubtedly one of the best dramas I have seen in a very long time -- utterly gripping! I watch a lot of similar shows and I like to think I'm pretty good at sussing out the culprit. The Disappearance keeps you guessing.. constantly! Plus, the series rounded up SO well, I can't stand it when writers make the decision to leave you hanging, but this one is perfect. The performances from everyone in this series was astounding, I'm almost sad that it's just a mini series because I'm really going to miss these characters. Would recommend to anyone and everyone because this was a masterpiece in my eyes. Very original, don't think there's anything like it!
Very good first season! Like it! I like european cinema. It's much better than the american shows. Greetings from Bulgaria!
