I'm a simple woman, I see Matthew Goode, I watch.
It is my opinion this show has so far got it right by ANNE RICE!!
Less is more, it’s also for true for TV Series. Nothing ”outstanding” must happen for everything to fall in place with extraordinary grace and perfection.
Short but intense comedy. Not to be missed.
such a quick show to watch, and so worth it. I think i speak for everyone when i say sister michael is the best character.
Loki (2021)
I have been a fan boi from day one of the marvel comics...
True God of Mischief...
I am gushing over episode one...
I would actually pay Disney for this series on its own...
So grab a seat.. An enjoy...
This one episode could have been a standalone film...sooooooo many easter eggs..so good infact i am gonna watch it again..to see what i missed..
I completely disagree with almost everyone else here who think this show is no good. I thought season 1 of Picard was a fantastic series, honestly the best telling of star trek I've seen in a long long time. It wasn't perfect but it definitely wasn't as bad as half of you are making it sound. I keep seeing consistent comments saying "I watched x amount of episodes and that's all I needed to see." Yeah that's the problem, if I only watched 15 minutes of a movie I wouldn't be qualified to give my opinion on it either.
The real problem here is that people aren't satisfied with anything these days unless it's exactly how they remember it, and times have changed. Star Trek was always good about staying relevant and to act like the Federation would stay perfect forever is just naive. Thankfully Star Trek has evolved and changed with the times, even if half of it's viewers are stuck in the 80's and 90's.
I'm enjoying it so far (3 episodes in), but I want to rate it higher just because it's upsetting so many people that don't like shows about empowered women
I had high hopes for Jodie's doctor. But Chris Cinbal really had some bad scripts for her. Now its her final season and the wrting gets good. I think Jodie did the best that she could with bad scripts.
The movie, Interview with the Vampire, has always been a fav. After the first episode, I immediately nearly forgot the movie and fell in love with Anderson's Louis and Reid's Lestat. Everything about Rolin Jones' interpretation feels right. The era change, the age differences for Claudia, having Louis be Black. Top notch story-telling so far. Looking forward to following this story.
Incredible command of pacing, superb acting and insane chemistry. An abuse relationship hadn't been depicted so intensely in a lot of seasons. Top notch TV in the technical department as well, might easily be one of the best shows of 2022.
An absolute must of this season.
Enjoyed every episode, can't wait for season 2 and hope there will be more than seven episodes.
An intelligent adaptation of the Anne Rice novels that manages to be faithful but at the same time update the story and its characters. It introduces interesting elements of reflection and builds much more complex characters, who are made credible by the splendid performances. The destructive and violent romanticism is shown without limits, and especially the appearance of the new Claudia is brutal and ironic. There is a dark sense of humor that accompanies an outstanding series.
Looks like a slow burn TV show. So far, I feel it's a good pace and hopefully will dive into the backstory of both characters. There is certainly chemistry between the two leads. I'm looking forward to the impending conflict between the master and his apprentice.
They are vampires, it is Anne Rice of course there is going to be an LGBTQI+ theme. Vampiric sensuality, passion and blood and seduction games are not subject to Sexual Orientations as such, that has been done practically forever.
My recommendations, forget about racism and the change of skin because this actor is one hundred percent Louis, it is his personality, the characters at the moment are completely Anne Rice; there are three chapters and there is still a lot of cooking ahead, but for now it is highly recommended,
You know why I like this competition style reality show so much? There is NO drama between contestants. Its a nice change if you watch other competition style reality shows where every 20 min = Drama.
This was a great series of books, that, in many ways, established a genre. I think it will be a great series, as well. It has the feel of an epic. Amazon has given it a healthy budget and Robert Jordan’s canon is extensive. These first three episodes had to cover a great deal of ground in a very short amount of time but, unlike other commentators, I feel they did it successfully. The characters are engaging. The cast is excellent and their performances are solid. The venues outside of Prague are spectacularly beautiful. Now, we just have to wait for the series to drop episode by episode (my least favourite way to stream). If it keeps this up the ratings should just climb. I give these first three episodes an 8 (great) out of 10. [Fantasy Adventure]
This show is especially interesting if you have some prior knowledge of the Northern Ireland conflict. It's a funny show regardless, but it carries with it a fascinating historical background
This was much better than I expected. If you like Dan Brown's books you should not miss this.
If you never read them but like mystery, enigmas, crime and some adventure, give this show a chance.
In case you were wondering if this is an accurate portrayal of what it's like to live on or close to the rez...We live on the Nisqually... they are nailing their roles lol
we love to see another queen join the MCU.
I really really loved the first episode. It was well directed and the character developing well done, not the usual bad takes we've seen in a lot of shows. I hope they keep them as good as EP.1 .
I’m so excited for this
Looking forward to this! I had heard about a possible tv series adaptation years ago, hadn't though we would get it now. Read the comic so many years ago I don't even remember stuff which is perfect cause I won't end up comparing. Edit: 3 episodes in good so far
Edit:
Cancelled?! already... bad story pacing kills yet another show sigh It wasn't like they didn't have a story to tell so they kept dragging, seriously we didn't even get to the interesting parts
Samantha Bee is so much sharper than anyone else in late night. Gloriously biased towards facts and common sense.
One of my go to shows for political satire. Samantha Bee always delivers her commentary with teeth. I love that about her! Her correspondent staff is also insanely strong. It's a shame her show doesn't allow enough time to bring them on regularly. One of my mandatory watch shows.
Ps- For non-cable types, they post comprehensive episode clips on youtube.
How awesome it would've been if she had taken over the daily show instead... now can we have this daily as compensation as well? Thanks!
I disagree with the negative comments. I thought it was a good/great show in the Startrek Universe. By no means was it perfect like people expect it to be.... But I felt it was a great show to watch nonetheless. Give it a chance, watch it start to be gaining and give it a chance!
Being a fan of TNG and in particular to the stoic Captain of that ship, I was very hesitant to watch this show. Added in it was being done by CBS which has had a long track of duds, I finally had to check it out. 4 episodes in and bingeing the rest, it’s wonderful. Patrick Stewart shines his talents, the storylines are thus far captivating and the graphics are splendid. Added in just enough touching upon of history of Picard to make one smile, yet not enough to rule out any new watcher of the Star Trek world, Picard is a win.
