I think I see the need for last episode now, but I still assert this show would be much more interesting if it could be entirely sitcom.
My issue is that I don’t entirely see this series as more than an experiment. As we see more and more, Wandavision is little more than doses of things we’ve seen elsewhere: Truman Show, Annihilation, Pleasantville, Inception. It makes for something decently interesting, but it brings up a branding problem that it feels as though it’s fighting really hard to course-correct. Marvel has built a brand mercilessly for nearly thirteen years now and although we were given the heads up that Phase 4 was going to get a little more out there, I’m not sure how this is correlating yet. When I think Marvel, I’m not sure something like Wandavision is what I’m expecting/wanting and yet when I think of weird, surrealist cinema Wandavision doesn’t really reach the depths of brilliance there either because it has to retain elements of the MCU when it could be David Lynch directs Marvel if they’d run with it.
The show had its up and downs.
But honestly I found the last season a high tick up in quality over the last few & it felt like a return to form, so I'm glad it ended in a bang (pun intended).
One thing that did prevail thru the up's and down was the cast. They were the heart of the show and put their all into every episode. Many giving performances that are wave above & beyond cable TV. The show gets a ton of hate, but overall I'd say it was a fun journey & I'll definitely miss it.
Thanks for the wild ride & I'm excited to see what they do with TWDU.
P.S - Haters who comment on LITERALLY every episode, can ya'll please just NOT watch any of the other shows & b*tch non-stop no matter how good it is? It will make all of our lives a lot easier :)
Too bad Jeffery Dean Morgan is busy on the Walking Dead. I have missed him since season 2 as the father. Since the mom was brought back, hopefully he can be back by the last season.
Wow Stormfront...Classic Gretchen behaviour
I feel bad hating on such a small detail, but as a native French speaker, when both of those guys were supposedly speaking french it was super hard to understand them.
"Frenchie" has a really thick foreign accent (I think the actor is actually Israeli) and the "random goon" has a really thick french-canadian accent. It was a real strain to make out anything they were saying, lol.
shout out to the other bingers forcing themselves through this
Ahhhhhh I've missed Bobby and Rufus so much!
OMG Homlander is getting creepier every episode
Stormfront is all about female empowerment but also a sadistic racist? Damn. This show really isn't afraid of anything and I love it xD Can't wait for the moment she gets killed by Kimiko.
Why the fuck would you rate something which is still not aired 8? Its a stupid thing too but i kinda get the 1 and 10.(haters and big fans) But 8? I mean why?
Can we not normalise hitting men as an expression of anger/frustration/sadness? If Buck was a female character, it would absolutely not be acceptable to depict her being punched out of nowhere, yet we see it time and time again with male characters.
And we certainly would not see other characters react to the situation as "He got you good" if Buck was female.
Why the opening and closing narration Grey's Anatomy style this episode? It doesn't really go well with the style of this show at all. I hope they drop it. Not very happy with the choices they've been making this season so far.
It's impossible to skip the opening, its weird but funny as hell.
Spin off coming up? Cause sure look like it does for me! Awesome!
Another nice episode.
I really liked the idea of it (getting blackmailed and not knowing what your blackmailer actually wants) and the plot twist at the end was great! I honestly didn't expect that. By now I'm used to paying attention and I usually have a lot of theories and try to find subtle clues, but somehow I didn't see that one coming. I was so naive and thought the main character was really just masturbating. I just started to get skeptical when he even agreed to rob a bank, but I still couldn't figure out what's exactly going on.
By the way, if you rewatch the beginning you might notice the scene with the little girl which seems creepy in retrospect. But at that point I really thought it was to show that he's just a nice young guy.
Well done. Another plot twist I haven't seen coming like that. And of course the acting was incredible again :)
Hit like if you taped your laptop's camera (or considered it) after watching this episode lol
It'll take a few more episodes for me to either love the cast and bond with them ... or not. But damn it, not another Non Binary gender thing! it's the 70s for the love of Rock.
Anyways... loved the pilot episode. Hope the show continues a solid performance and introduces a whole lot of supernatural. And as long as Dean keeps picking the music....I'm in.
That evil bitch! I hope someone kills her.
I think there's a good chance Frank didn't kill those girls. If he did, well, shit happens. More so when you've been set up.
I so want to give an episode an 8, but.....but damnit if some element ain't missing.
I did like the last ten minutes. Russo having his panic attack in the street as bullets whiz by.
What did that girl (psychiatrist) think was going to happen? That they'd hole up and play house forever? As Russo said, he's not a house pet. She should get her rocks off sticking her hand in a door jam instead.
Great finale to a great season. Can’t wait to see season 2. Overall I thought the season was the best Netflix marvel show since Jessica Jones. Bernthal was great. The Punisher was written deeper than just a killing machine. The action sequences were fun and really well done. Still a little too long, I think 10 episodes would make a perfect season.
What is Fiona problem with Lip internship? It's a way to make contacts to better jobs. She sure is selfish and a bitch lately
Why did Soulja Boy take so long to get to the Crimson Countess when he had hours of head start on the boys?
Very disjointed season paired with a disjointed finale. The pacing was weird for a lot of the storylines, the storylines themselves felt somewhat bland or lacking because of poor writing even though they were promising concepts (bi Buck, Bobby’s past with Amir, Eddie’s breakdown), and not a whole lot of emergency responding considering they’re emergency responders lmao. I feel like they’ll sort things out next season, hopefully with more than 10 episodes so things feel properly spaced. So far I could see Buck and Eddie’s storylines developing into something good in the future, but Bobby’s and Hen’s are becoming recycled, and Chim and Maddie basically got paid dust this season. I heard they were still writing scripts very short notice before filming (a week or a couple days before filming the actual episode) so maybe that’s why. Idk.
i like this episode but i feel like maddie & chimney are such a good couple, they deserved more than a hospital wedding. was this all really necessary?
that biker really had it coming, like you're not supposed to take up the entire road with your bike!
how about you share the road?
911 does not air until 4 days time, why 2 X 100 per cent votes. Have you seen it yet no? Ffs please rate once you have viewed.
showing people how you should address racism without using blackface. great work
The TOWEL, the SCRATCH, the BURKE AND CHRISTINA - oh the shocks this episode.
