I have to agree that this appears to be on par with what the CW puts out. I was hoping for a thrilling murder/abduction investigation. What I gleaned from the first episode is that this is a half-hearted attempt at bringing to light the presence of human trafficking. Unfortunately, there's just too many glaring holes in the reality of it all.
It's every 'problem of the week' cop show you've ever seen. If that's your thing, then you're lucky, because this is one of the dozens of shows cut from the same exact mold that you will love. I can't stand these shows, but I realize most people love them. A family member loves them, so I've seen a lot of them. Here's another unpopular opinion: The Penelope and Derek thing is cringy and creepy af.
I cannot recommend this show highly enough - one of the best dramas out there.
I say drama rather than procedural as '19-2' is so much more than a 'chase down bad guys for the win' type affair.
Acting across the board is top notch with writing to match but what sets it apart for me is the technical skill evident in every episode.
The single camera/steadicam work is some of the best I've seen and often adds an almost ethereal quality to the show.
And I haven't even mentioned the 12 minute continuous shot in s02e01 - no spoilers here, but the scene in question had me amazed and terrified in equal measures.
'19-2' genuinely is a thing of raw beauty.
Try's to be an adorable reboot and instead feels like a half-hearted cash grab drowning in nostalgia. Jokes are nearly always a miss, the kids can't act that well, and there wasn't nearly enough John Stamos.
Starts poorly. If it wasn't for its immense popularity, I wouldn't have given it another go; and I am so glad I did, because somewhere in season 2 or starting with season 3 it became very good. This is a great sitcom with no weak season (besides the first one or two). There is no drop in quality anywhere, and it ends well.
If I had to choose between Seinfeld and Friends, I'd always go Seinfeld.
People hollering about how bad this show is, how silly it is, how the "plot" does not make any "sense" anymore... seriously? When has it ever??? I am still enjoying this ride and will for as long as it will last, given there have been episodes that were just plain awful - except for the music - but hey that's natural, super natural...
I didn't realize Shaggy was the black guy until reading a review after watching. He was changed too much I think.
do people really hate them because they had plastic surgery? grow up, if you don't like it just don't watch it. I love watching always funny and great entertainment.
Is it just me and the place I am in life at the moment or does this show have a lot of emotional story lines?
I know some shows have always tried to have one or two story lines that tackle difficult issues but Boy Meets World seems to be full of them.
This is the only UK show in history that was copied in the US and the US version was great and the UK version was mediocre at best. I gave this show more chances that I should have.
Love the show I've seen all the episodes.
 We stan showrunners and writers that straightbait in order to normalize gay people and help increase acceptance:clap:
The only cop show with so called upright law enforcers that can continuously commit criminal acts without any fear of prosecution. They can do whatever felony they wanna do.
This show was great. WTF were you thinking CBS...
327 episodes? Damn! That's a helluva way to spend 245¼ hours watching some good TV.
[After Season 2]
It's fun to see Michael Scott running the US Space Force, kind of... I enjoyed the second season more than I did the first. It’s not the best comedy show of all time, but it’s better than most right now and a fun addition to my watchlist. The cast is obviously great! I’m on board for more smaller seasons, just like the second one, around 7 episodes. This is better in small portions. Keep it coming!
Also... "Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you! Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama!" ♫
I hate when executives take a good series off the air .. as it is or at least I've read it :rage:.
I fondly remember watching this and Full House a bunch as a kid. I really enjoyed it then, even if it was just a bunch of reruns several years later. Well enter the digital age and I have the pleasure and watching this show from start to finish. Firstly, it is as enjoyable as I remember. Secondly, it covers more serious topics than I recalled, and ultimately many of those topics would probably be banned from children television nowadays. Like really, this show gets serious ALOT. Overall, I found this show relatable, realistic, and enjoyable from the middle school years to the college years (including the movies).
Average Season Review: 8.14/10 (Pre-Main Show, Main Show, College)
Recommendation - Must See (for Kids)
I'm really upset that MTV cancelled this show. It was refreshing and had a great cast of characters. I can only hope they renew it for some more seasons eventually!
... these pretzels are making me thirsty!
A pretty good show that just couldn't find traction among audiences. I thought for sure it would at least make it to season two.
Poor Andrea Anders, she gets put into funny shows that just never seem to get a big following. (Joey, The Class, Better Off Ted). She's good but it never seems to matter.
Crassness dialed up to 11. It's a bit much, but genuinely entertaining. Great to challenge the overwhelming canon of super heroes always being good.
Fuck CBS. This is the only show that I watched from their channel and now they have nothing.
Gutted this was cancelled. We'll worth a 2nd series.
makes me wonder why so many people who thought it was bad or was bad after a certain series continued to watch it. if it was as bad as you think. go and watch something else and let the people enjoy it. Give anyone a space to write and they all think they are a critics.
Series was ok-ish, nothing crazy. Netflix just decided to cancel it after 2 seasons... all the Space Force crew will be missed..
after all these years watching and growing up with Gallagher family, being through ups and downs with them, it's kinda sad to see them go. first started watching bc of some short videos on youtube of a fucking beautiful couple, Ian and mickez. As i watched two three episodes i was like ok where is the gay part give me the gay part. but now i live for the whole family and really love every single one of them. i kinda wish it could go on but i guess it was time for and end before going downhill. really happy that they ended it when it was still up there.
i will rewatch the whole series when i find a time.
p.s: don't touch micky he's precious
