Better than the previous one. This brings back the classic buddy cop action-comedy genre. The directors have surely improved the story and action sequences. Kudos for bringing Reggie back!
This is definitely not a movie for everyone (most people?), but it is definitely a movie for me — I loved this thing. The voice over/humor is hit or miss, but I did not find it annoying, and I often found it funny. The action sequences are phenomenal, but the editing is chaotic and often handheld-like. The story and characters are just a means to drive the movie forward, and to go from one set-piece to the next, often building and expanding in ridiculousness. The end fight had some absolutely visceral moments. A lot of the action is so over the top that I just laughed and had a great time. Not the last fight. That thing is a drag out, dirty, amazing piece of choreography.
Bad score/needle drops. The music did not fit a lot of the scenes.
trailer is best Dune movie ever, but whole 155mins movie is totaly boring and waste of time
A highly enjoyably Neo Noir movie that illustrate perfectly the snowball effect of violence and its detrimental effect but also the snowballing impact of our own choices, it depicts how it is often hard for the youth to find their own place in the world and to escape this sort of claustrophobic society they live in while dealing with family struggle and multiple form of abuse.
The movie has some flaws such as the length, the montage that could have been better, and a very noticeable problem when it comes to the rhythm, nevertheless for his first feature film Kim Chang-hoon proves that he is an extremely talented director and that we should be attentive to his upcoming projects.
Very nice movie.
8/10.
Well, I think this is better than the second one.
A very well directed movie - Jung Woo-Sung was amazing and if you don't know your Korean history going into this, it's pretty insane. While they did dramatize some parts for cinematic effect, the fact that this Coup even happened is insane. All the detail that goes into prevention and a possible counterattack, the messy military rankings and personal relationships within the military, the unpredictability of war were all so human.
If Director Hong Sung-soo created this movie to remind the public of who the real heroes were, I think it does the job incredibly.
I think anyone who watches this movie should read up on the history.
Well done on every level but really nothing original.
The decors and the (short) destruction scenes are great. The characters and drama are good though totally predictable.
As for the general story, it's really exactly what you expect from a post apocalyptic survival movie. There is really nothing new, people behave exactly how you would expect, there is not a single original idea there. This is pure cliche of the genre.
I loved every second of it, only one reason why I didn't give it a 10, if only John Kramer said Game Over at the end of the film this would have been a 10/10 !
Every day when the years are quiet, there are people who carry the burden for us, and thank these heroes.
An epic tale brought back to life. When it comes to anticipation towards a finally, no other movie that I have seen, with same themes, has come close to something as in depth like what this movie just developed. A true dramatic infusion of complexity thrilling storytelling that concluded all of what it accomplished, by being if I might add, a masterful work of all that it set out to interpret.
I was really pleasantly surprised by this one after the first one was such a schlockbuster. Much more thoughtful, much more character-driven. Could have been a bit shorter, the pacing bogs down around the lunar crisis in particular, that whole act would really have benefited from tighter editing. And it's sometimes hard to follow due to a combination of the subs translation not being perfect and some scenes moving too quickly to allow you time to figure out what said opaque subs actually mean. But once you get your head past the scientific absurdity of the premise, which is a dumb basis on which to criticise a film anyway, it's very enjoyable.
The fusion of part-time workers and killers is quirky but reasonable. Alley battles and fighting scenes are very impressive.
At last, akari maji kawaiii
they could at least gave Wesley Snipes a cameo
Destiny is all.
Sad to see the show end but it was a great run.
Fantastic
A great end to the show, loved the feast hall scene at the end.
DESTINY IS ALL
A worthy drama about revenge and redemption. The dying old man is going to bring his plan many years ago to the end. The names are stuffed on the fingers, the time is almost up, an unexpected friend will suggest a solution to the dilemma. You can't live without being punished - you can't die without being punished. We must remember.
You know you've wanted it, if you were a fan.
You'll reminisce ("Martin," "Boomerang," "Def Comedy Jam"),
You'll laugh,
You'll cry,
You'll dig the singing.
Comedy's always been big for me. My ex was from the Philippines...private schools taught her English well. I really liked that she was open to the comedy i shared with her...from Sam Kinison to The Dice Man (!), and we watched, "Martin," every week (plus re-runs later on)...good times!
Chronological order of the story:
1. The Beginning (2021) - when it all started, Himura Kenshin became Hitokiri Battousai; Yukishiro Tomoe meets Battousai
2. Rurouni Kenshin (2012) - 10 years after "The Beginning", Hitokiri Battousai reappears as Himura Kenshin and meets Kamiya Kaoru
3. Kyoto Inferno (2014)
4. The Legend Ends (2014) - when Himura Kenshin finally learns and masters the final technique of Hiten mitsurugi-ryu which signifies or symbolizes the end of "Hitokiri Battousai"
5. The Final (2021) - they come full circle, Yukishiro Enishi takes revenge on Himura Kenshin
It was great how they did this live-action franchise as well as how they titled each.
There are two arcs in these 5-movie franchise: [1] The Yukishiro arc; and [2] the Hitokiri Battousai arc.
It all started in "The Beginning" when Himura Kenshin became Hitokiri Battousai. Then later met Yukishiro Tomoe and [accidentally] killed her.
From "Rurouni Kenshin" to "The Legend Ends", it was about Kenshin being forced and struggling to fight Battousai from coming out again. In "The Legend Ends", it was the end of the Hitokiri Battousai arc when Kenshin finally learned the final technique of the Hiten mitsurugi style.
--> "The Legend Ends" for Hitokiri Battousai.
"The Final" is when Kenshin and the Yukishiro family comes full circle. Enishi witnessed when Battousai [accidentally] killed Yukishiro Tomoe. Once again, a fitting title:
--> "The Final" story of Kenshin and the Yukishiro family.
Beautifully done. I loved how it started. I hope the next one is gorier.
It was intense, violent, disturbing at some point and most important a harsh truth & that's what we expect with a Saw movie. I missed that jigsaw puppet introduced in the previous parts but it was okay, a little change is acceptable.
Definitely a good watch but don't watch it without finishing the previous parts, it will ruin everything.
Rating are lower than I expected and that's okay for me because saw movie are some kind of creepy and disturbing all the time, no matter how mysterious and suspenseful they are.
Excited to see more upcoming sequels of Saw series, don't miss the title track named 'Spiral' at the end while watching the movie....that is :fire::fire:
Spiral is the symbol of change. DON'T FORGET THAT!!! :pig:
Watch out star wars, the korean are in the space now:thumbsup:.
Good plot with some nice twists :heavy_check_mark:
Great acting :heavy_check_mark:
Decent space CGI:heavy_check_mark:
IMHO this is the best revenge movie ever made.
I mean when Creasy goes after these bastards, one by one - cutting of fingers & blowing of dynamite inside of the kidnappers ass...
How awesome is that???
I still hear that little girl (Pita) scream: "Creeeeeasy".
Really too bad this GREAT director/producer (Tony Scott) died today!
Mostly good. The dialogue didn't always convince and there were a couple of plot twists that seemed kinda stupid. But for the most part, it was enjoyable, with characters that I would like to see more of.
Loved it!
Excellent dialogues and Bgm,good action.Could not even take my eyes of the screen.Only dissapointment is that it's not gory or violent. But does not affect the enjoyment
“I wanted to make a horror film that can help someone forget about their pain.”
A phenomenal film, Warning: Do Not Play shares more than a passing similarity with The Shining (1980) and Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Loft (2005). In all three films, the stress of having to produce and the strain on one’s mental health transforms into a supernatural circumstance. In Warning, there is a particular kind of dreamlike logic, initiated precisely by Mi-Jung’s initial waking from a dream in the film’s first scene.
But this film follows a different path than either Kubrick or Kurosawa's film with similar premises (to a lesser extent, this film also shares a bit with Sinister [2012] and Hush [2016]). First, this is a work of urban horror as opposed to the provincial isolation of The Shining or Loft. More importantly, Warning is a film about horror film, maintaining a brilliant streak of self-awareness that puts it in conversation with Behind the Mask (2006) and In the Mouth of Madness (1994).
There's also an unexpected found footage element to the film.
What Jin-won Kim accomplishes here, directing the awesome Seo Yi-Jin as Mi-Jung, is to capture the essence of what appeals about horror film and the challenge true auteurs face when trying to bring to life a vision that has yet to be imagined by any filmmaker before. In his efforts, director Jin-won manages just that.
If I Saw the Devil was your cup of tea, you should like this as well. It's not as exciting, but it's much shorter so the pace is far from slow. Good stuff.
This is Chan-Wook Park's "Reservoir Dogs." First movie, independent, low budget, amazing actors, original storytelling, perfect directing. And aside from the few English lines (they're real bad), a perfect movie. The biggest difference between him and Tarantino is that Park wasn't trying to be cool with his movie, he just went for holyshitamazingmovie. 10/10
Watch this movie. Then watch all of Park's other movies. Seriously.

I Grew up on Stargate with its witty humour and epic action. It is the best sci-fi franchise in all of my tv viewings. I only wish they completed the Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe franchise'. Definitely one to watch from begining to end!
Hits all the note. still classic.
