To the 1.3k people from the future who have already watched this episode before release: How was it? :eyes:
I don't understand why people do this. This had a awful rating months before the pilot aired.
Anyway I liked it, reminded me a lot of the 80's type of Teenager movies. It seems to be a mix of "Breakfast club" meets "I know what you did last summer".
Give this one a watch and see if you are entertained.
Bullet through the heart and lungs but can still talk, movie magic y’all!
I don't recommend eating while watching this ep :)))
Go Dawson!!
Coincidentally, we have Boden dating momma Scott from Teen Wolf here... and at the same time Peter Hale as an IA dbag in Chicago PD. Glad to see those faces from Beacon Hills now in Chicago hehe
This is fucked up and I kinda loved it. It is surprisingly funny in a I'm a terrible human being way. Matt Dillon is great.
I went into Baby Reindeer not knowing anything except it was about a guy who has a stalker. It was an emotionally challenging watch. I feel like the audience was supposed to sympathize with Martha but I couldn't. She was just too unhinged.
For people who don't like the show, I would give it to episode 4, when the reason Donny is making poor decisions becomes clear by this episode.
I wish they'd stop advertising shows like this as 'dark comedies' because I bet a lot of people aren't prepared for how dark it will actually be. Also, Baby Reindeer is not a documentary! This is a work of fiction based on real events! To what degree? We don't know. We don't actually know what really happened, that's between the author and Martha.
10/10 just because they killed that disgusting copper and for Thomas surviving
I think that the mother was trying to save her son from her own self. In my opinion there was no real Babadook, only her deep depression. The book probably was made by her, there is some mention about her being a writer before.
Amazing acting.
I think it's really easy to miss the point of this "horror" film. Keep an open mind to the end and look for the clues.
For me, the Babadook was a manifestation of the mother's grief. The ending feels really awkward unless you think about how people deal with grief. You don't "defeat" it but you manage it. And at any moment it might consume you all over again. The boy isn't allowed to feed it at the end because like grief it can't be completed processed as a child.
Personally I don't get the hype. It's an interesting, entertaining show but nothing new here. Especially if you're watching Asian movies and shows regularly. I give it a 6-7. There's much filler stuff and unnecessary side stories going on. Overall good but nothing spectacular.
The ammount of sexual harrassement on this show is INCREDIBLE! Type was an asshole for saying those things to the gay community but those two guys were clearly invading his personal space wihout his permission, that's sexual harrassement!
I'm sorry, but this was boring to watch.
Visuals are nice, but CGI was a bit over the top.
Story moves slow and I can't say that either horror or thriller labels would fit this film.
Maybe it's meant for an artistic intellectual audience.
For me it disappointed and won't recommend to watch this..
Very similar to It Follows and The Ring. It builds tension quite well and gives you a well crafted jump scare once in a while. I found some parts pretty scary. The camera work in here is top notch and so is the transition between scenes. The psychological horror elements weren't anything new or impressive but still pretty enjoyable. The story got very predictable but I loved the third act it was a blast and some nice CGI/practical effects? I wanted more smiles in the movie it feels like there weren't that many but then again too much would ruin it too. One things for sure I was smiling whenever it happened on screen! Would of liked more explanation as to what the hell kind of entity that was and why it likes to smile so much... I'm willing to bet this is getting a sequel.
Predictable plot, has some nicely done jumpscares. Saw it in the cinema but this would be better at night home alone instead of the snickering fools in the cinemaroom destroying any carefully built tension so my advice is to wait for the Blu-Ray.
Wow what a reboot! I didn't expect another series after the was no source material but it is truly great to see a come back
Raise your hand if you replayed the "I was wrong" dance.
GREATNESS IS HERE N THE HYPE IS REAL
While watching this I was in a constant state of what the fuck am I watching and why haven't I watch this sooner?
This is not as bad as some of the comments here. I don't know what people are expecting to get from a show like this. Meaning of life? That's 42 btw.
If you like "The IT Crowd" or even "The Orville" you will enjoy this show.
You did it. You finally made another good Dragon Ball movie and you did it without Goku pulling something out of his butt. Bravo.Piccolo and Gohan get their much deserved time back in the spotlight and the movie genuinely provided a number of solid self-aware humor and laughs. I would have preferred to have a bit more tension, but this was fun through and through.
It has been 4 seasons and I still have no idea what the f*** this show is about.
It has a very unique style. I feel exhausted after watching this. The editing was almost too much. So much was going on. The cinematography was great. I never felt comfortable. Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis were the perfect mass murdering couple. Robert Downey Jr. was great at playing the tv anchor.
WOW what a great piece of filmmaking!
Absolutely hallucinating and disturbing trip with one of the most insane characters that I've ever seen! Every single character on this film has serious problems!
Crazy camera angles, the changing from color to black and white, the flashes all combined with a lot of symbolisms and critics about society.
Woody Harrelson, Juliette Lewis, Robert Downey Jr and Tommy Lee Jones have fantastic performances, everyone of them shine in their own scenes!
So maniac, so wild, so different, that's what makes this so great!
Hell Camp (2023) was a netflix documentary about this same issue but it only focused on 80s and tried to show abusers as good guys.
This one is really well made and shows how much victims are still suffering AND these evil people getting away with all. It was so genuine and real. I feel sorry for all the victims and once again mad at american justice system. Keep fighting!
This episode showed many events :
First of all, what's happening with Dr. Mr. Handsome?? Is he a psycho??
I feel so bad about that little girl. She doesn't know anything and I think she's gonna suffer because of her bitch Mother...
The tension is sky-high b/w both fathers in the last scene...
I'm really excited about upcoming episodes...
Macabra, espeluznante, bizarra y humor negro. Lars Von Trier arruinó mi noche de sueño.
